Ive got to say, im less than enthralled by the game. The first few attempts I died horribly, and came to the conclusion that it was rock hard. Then...well, I dont know quite what happened, but something clicked and I could do it. It suddenly became piss easy. Im not finding the storyline in the lea...

I'm just plain flat-out not enjoying it now. I'm not feeling the atmosphere - I'm not feeling immersed - I'm at a point where most of the missions I try to do are BROKEN - and I get killed at the most random moments without ever standing a chance of clearing the area. I got so fed up with the diffic...

Can anyone tell me how exactly I'm supposed to return from the train embankment without getting electrocuted? Or is this just a one-way trip sort of deal? I'm at the bandit camp now (lying on the floor in a pool of my own blood, waiting to load the last save-game) and doing a little better now that ...

I haven't completely given up on it yet, but it's not really grabbed me yet either. Vampire: Bloodlines was a bit like this though. It was buggy as hell, but remains one of the most fun games to play purely because of its atmosphere, story, and fantastic characters. The atmosphere in STALKER looks r...

I'm struggling with this game at the moment. I seem to die a lot more than is normal for me, and mostly due to a few "unfair" glitches. The first time I ran that first mission, it went without a hitch - but now, whenever I try to start over from the beginning (I missed something fairly obv...

Yet another unfunny CAD >_> It's nice that you have an opinion, but in my experience, it's much easier to ignore something you don't like, rather than make someone feel awkward. Unless, of course, it was your express intention to make me feel unwelcome - in which case, congratulations, you're a cup...

Mine arrived, and I played it briefly before I had to go induct another Soup player. That game lasted a lot longer than anticipated, as my hosting PC slowed to a crawl and registered what would've been an hours battle, in three hours human time. Ugh. Anyway, CAD has this offering today - thought I w...

I tend to go for a very tech-related approach. I build mass extractors in the first three or four available points (depending on the map) and accompany them with two generators each. Then I build a land factory and an air factory along the flat edges of two of the extractor complexes. This gives the...

I should be getting stalker today, in a nice limited edition tin or something. I always seem to end up with the rare stuff for lowest price when pre-ordering with Play. Can't sniff at that!

Anyway, I'll try to resist getting caught up in that ;)

Supreme Commander 5punk clan

I did a search, but saw no mention of 5punk having an official presence on GPGNet - so I went ahead and created one!

If anyone wants to join the fun and frolics for this game, just "/friend Jediwannabe" from the GPGNet chat window, and I'll get you added in.

I like team play, and that this game encouraged it was great, but the bias towards grouping was just silly, spending 40 minutes of every hour waiting for a group in the inns just got far too tedious. Which is EXACTLY why I'm trying to encourage some 5punkers to play - then I'll have people to group...

As I understand from reading the patch notes, the Solo mode was only implemented a short while back - I found the first missions and harbour missions very easy, but anything on Normal was total mayhem - and anything over level 3 even on solo is hard in the Marketplace. It is still fun though - not h...

hmm...when the monies return, I might joing you in this. I liked the beta/trial I had, but not enough to make me play. However, like ive said elsewhere recently, playing with fellow 5punkers makes all games better. Plus, I fucking love the Eberron campain setting. So, when I am no longer impoverish...

Dungeons and Dragons Online

After the last Codemasters MMO offering "RF-Online", which made me want to gouge my eyes out with a spork, I fully expected to hate DDO - however, it is surprisingly brilliant - great fun solo, and more fun with a group - but it is a subscription game which puts people off instantly. Lucki...

Bearing in mind I've never played this before, how long might it take me to be able to fly? Flying anything's good with me, bomber or transport preffereable. Will this even be possible at all with the restricted account? From what I remember last time I played, they streamlined the skill purchase s...

The key to enjoying this game, is to pick a specialisation that you're really comfortable with - you don't have to be some grunt on the ground getting killed every five seconds. I had a character who was a dedicated Galaxy pilot. My life consisted mostly of flying squads out to their designated targ...
