Well, until Diablo III comes out this is a pretty good alternative.

Got the original on disc but completeness + lazyness + cheapness = Purchase!

I assume you can transfer characters to Steam version?

GTA 1, 2, 3, VC and SA -75% til Monday. Don't but 1 or 2 though, you can get them for free directly from Rockstar.

EDIT: 1 and 2 come free with the bundle, but you can't buy them separately on Steam, whereas 3, VC and SA you can.

Poker Night at the Inventory is £2.92

I like poker games anyway and this seems an interesting title with some rather disparate game characters chatting away to each other as you play. Also, they sometimes bet TF2 unlockables as you play.

Steam lists the game as single-player only, is that the case?

Seems that way. Bit of an odd decision, but then there are a million ways to play poker with real people. And with real money.

I rather enjoy the odd game of real poker face to face with real people. Well, friends. I did try with acquaintances and they took it far too seriously and frowned upon me getting pissed and forgetting the rules.

Serious poker is rubbish. There's always one person who turns up wearing sunglasses and generally acts like a knob.

Then they get arsey when people not taking it seriously beat them. Drunken capers win every time.

I used to play for monies in the casino near Newcastle station. But that consisted of taking money off drunk rich kids who just kept throwing money at everything. I'm not amazing at it but they were very fish in a barrel and helped supplement my student loan quite well.

I stopped just before they started into the craze that happened a few years ago and everyone thought they were Phil Ivey and started wearing sunnies and caps and reading books on how to give false tells and read people, because that's just shit.
