I rather enjoy the odd game of real poker face to face with real people. Well, friends. I did try with acquaintances and they took it far too seriously and frowned upon me getting pissed and forgetting the rules.

I used to play for monies in the casino near Newcastle station. But that consisted of taking money off drunk rich kids who just kept throwing money at everything. I'm not amazing at it but they were very fish in a barrel and helped supplement my student loan quite well.
I stopped just before they started into the craze that happened a few years ago and everyone thought they were Phil Ivey and started wearing sunnies and caps and reading books on how to give false tells and read people, because that's just shit.
