Re: Steam Sales
I was on Steam buyen gaems last night, rather prematurely, it seems:
Bought
King's Bounty: The Legend - 10% - £17.49 - May 8th
1701 A.D. - 10% - £22.49 - May 13th
Apparently good, but hard
Men of War - 10% - £22.49 - May 13th
Poor reviews
Cryostasis - 10% - £22.49 - May 13th (slow)
Death Track: Resurection - 10% - £14.39 - May 13th (little variety)
Also there's Plant v Zombies with a 92% metacritic review, although it's described as a tower defense game, which I'm kind of burned out on. At the other end is Stalin v Zombies, which is unmitigated shite - while it looks quite jocular at first glance, it lacks any strategy and is bugged to buggery.

Plants VS Zombies is pretty goodFatherJack wrote:Also there's Plant v Zombies with a 92% metacritic review, although it's described as a tower defense game, which I'm kind of burned out on. I'll whack a review up this weekend if I remember. It sounds more like tower defence than it feels. Some of it is balancing buying defences with generating more income (which reminds me of early game Starcraft), and tactically dropping your defences in the right place for the right zombies (which is the tower defence bit). You also need to choose your potential plants wisely, which is kind of CCG.
