Having finished it, I loved the entire thing. The only thing I don't like is the way the car handled (i.e.: really really shitty). I felt the same about the buggy in HL2, but this was a bit worse because the car is slightly faster. Otherwise, I loved it.

I found the car to be really rather ace. narf, most muscle cars of the era didn't really handle well at all, especially with rear wheel drive and a fucking massive big-block V8 in the front, it also felt so much less venerable than the buggy, possibly mostly because of Alyx riding shotgun. Anyway, The buggy handled much worse, and tipped on oh, every opportunity possible.

I found the car pretty fine, rarely got it stuck, never upside down.

That's what I thought, was it the same character model? Possibly a homage.

A good game. Not as good as Portal as that had more freshness but excellent HL2 as usual. Now the long wait for the next chapter....

Terrific game. Lots of nice little touches throughout. The achievements did bug me slightly though - they seem to leap from piss easy to nigh on impossible.

Really can't wait for the next installment now.

spoilers for the spood wrote:The missile silo was in Half-Life 1 proper. You needed to launch a communications satellite into space so the scientists at Black Mesa could get out a message. Unfortunately for them, the government wasn't listening, lol.

I got mine stuck between a tree and a rock, (twss) and did the last few striders on foot, the sense of panic I had then was palpable, took about 7-8 go's to work out that my magnum was a bit easier than ar2 alt fire to put hunters down without the luxury of a car, except they charge when they are really hurt, was fun when I discovered that.

Yeah, I just liked driving into them, much much fun, even if the car handles like a brick without inertia.

Interesting stuff. Really, really want to see what they release in the next installment.

Yeah, I thought of the Philadelphia Experiment (though I couldn't remember what it was called) as well.

Pffft, we're talking about a game that has transdimensional portals, and one company which has mastered the art of using them, while another mastered the art of teleportation.
