AVP2 game this Sunday?

Post by watashi-wa »

I'm planning on hosting a game on Sunday. Probably around 6pm GMT.

Anyone who is interested, bung your name down :)

I have never played it, or have a copy of it I'm afraid. :(

If you can download a copy, you'll be fine. I won't boot people off for non-legit copies ;)

I shall, yes.

I can handle up to 8 players, which should be ok.

From about 6pm GMT - ie: 6 at night, UK time.

Will post on the day with IP address and password for server. :)

You fancy it then?

Can't find it on suprnova.org, I'll have a look later when I get home on DC++.

If it's any good, I might buy it

6pm sounds good to me!

I got an IMO (alcohol image) file for it off Overnet (until I managed to find it for a tenner 2nd hand in Gamestation) - it's well worth it, the single-player game alone is class. Multiplayer just kicks ass.

Curses! I do own a legit copy of the game, but a mate borrowed it and then went to live in Peru for a year. The bastard.

I shall have to see if he has left it with his parents, as he has most of the rest of his stuff.

Im loath to spend time downloading something i already, technically, own.

/sends hatefull thoughts towards Peru

On a lighter note, it is well worth getting. As the man says, the single player kicks ass. Although you may want to invest in some rubber undies before playing the marine levels.

Hey dudes

This may have to be postponed, I'm afraid, because NDO have fucked up my ADSL connection. I called their tech support and basically ended up having to tell them how to do their goddamn job. Idiots.

I will update tomorrow when I know more!

Must of been too much wanking, as I was temporarily blind

On the plus side, at least I now know that excessive masturbation doesn't cause permanent damage to your eyes.

I'll install it later on and see what I've been missing out on. :D

Update: sorry folks, my ADSL will be down until Tuesday "at the earliest" - which I am MONUMENTALLY pissed off about. *snarls*

On a better note, I got a loan of UT2004 from a mate at work, and it seems to run fairly well once all the details are cranked down a bit. Although outside levels suffer, inside is fine.

while we are on the Pulse rifle subject, can i just say now that anyone who cant resist the urge to spout the marnies Pulse rifle speech from the film (im sure you know the one. Where he goes on about "over and under" and all that gibberish) will be feeling the sharp side of my alien-tongue.

also, i have re-aquired avp2. huzzah and hurrah! let the slaughtering commence (soonish)

Okay I have the game installed, however I have no cd key as I lost it
*cough*
"bit"
*cough*
"torrent"

It will not allow me to enter into the multiplayer server listing without entering a key.

Even though this will be a private server, how will I connect without having a cd key? :(

I suppose I might be able to right click you in xfire and join game, but I'll have to try and test this sometime before Sunday just to make sure.

If you see me online at soem point, could you quickly host a game just so I know it will work.
