Emulators & Roms
What's the best places to source them, and what are the best one's for each console/platform?
P.S. I'd quite like to get hold of a lot of Metal Slug & Marvel vs Capcom type stuff from the arcades. Is Mame 32 best for this, and which version?

I thought that, but I also thought there was a joke there that I didn't get, so I didn't say anything.Roman_Totale wrote:Secondly: I thought he was a Man Utd fan, amd it was one of their games he was trying to watch?Woo Elephant Yeah wrote:That joke got a terrific receptionRoman_Totale wrote:Is this an appropriate time to create a tenuous joke about RodHullators?

Those kids who lived in the pink windmill were damn annoying, I think Emu secretly hated them too. At least they're all grown up now, so I can legally kill them. Ah, wait- that's not actually true is it?Roman_Totale wrote:I used to love Rod Hull and emu (with Grotbags et al).
I have loads of emus and roms of Megadrive, C64 and Speccy stuff on my disk, perhaps we could collectively find somewhere to plop them all for sharing. They're not that big individually, but collecrtively: about a gig.
i use SNES9x (http://www.snes9x.com/) for SNES stuff (duh!) did have a C64 one that i lost with my last format cant remember what it was called.
for DOS games use Dosbox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/news.php?show_news=1) it's great.
SCUMMVM is good for old adventure games (monkey island et al) http://www.scummvm.org/
