They seem to drop invisible, exploding eggs. I just had one hanging around my little mud hut which was then wiped out with two egg bombs in quick succession.

And I'd guess the furnace glitch happens when the client saves the furnace operation to the server, there's a bit of lag. You just need to give it a few seconds.

That would explain it. Now I just need to figure a way of keeping the chickens off my damn island.

I've turned off monsters in the hope that it'll remove the unpredictable explosive monsters/chickens. The monsters don't seem to have much point yet.

Sorry Joose, I cut down one of your trees when it was dark, I've planted a new one for you though
I've also started making my base just along from you where manytrees are an integral part of the plan so please don't chop them down!

Smelting doesn't work quite right yet, you can lose stuff so don't drop a big stack in the furnace.

Every time I see Creeper art they appear more and more terrifying.

Do you think they were made to look like nothing in particular on purpose, so people would associate the feeling they get of an approaching creeper with its figure, and thus make it more frightening than it is?

/looking too far into it

This is very impressive. The good stuff starts at 02:00 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTjyhggH2Pk (linked for extra surprise)
And here's the first "making of" so you can appreciate the serious amount of time and effort - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeY_JjcQNDY

Also for another epic structure login to arssmp1.dyndns.org and enter "/warp shiptour".

The "making of ..." suggests he did. He worked out a fairly efficient way of doing it. Also he discussed the choice of structure with his wife!
