Grrr.. going to have to upgrade. No way will it run on this.

Halo2 seemed a bit short to me, although that could be because of the two players thing.. any sense of progression got a bit twisted.

Half Life 2 definately "feels" longer. And it really does ahve some memorable sequences on it that I'll never forget as long as I play games.
Thinking back on it I still find the bridge sequence during Highway *forgets number* level absolutely stunning.

Sorry. Given how well it tends to run on my machine, I think it should run "ok-ish" on low end machiens, if you crank the graphics down.
But the problem with that is, it's one of those rare games where the graphics are part of what makes it great, not because they jus tlook good, but they really help to immerse you in the game.

Yeah, mines not *amazing* but I think my 1gig ram probably helps a lot.

SFNinja, that's a hell of a lot of game play!! , I reckon it'll take me a couple of weeks at least. I decided not to get Halo 2 till I've finished this. I'm really quite exited about the thought of the dual weapons system.

Meanwhile back to the gravity gun shenanigans

That would be awesome, throwing explosive barrels at each other and seeing if you can catch them in time, or having a duel with radiators!!, I want to play this now!

Hmm sounds fun. Iam currently learning C++ and this could be a good idea when they release the source code.

If you think that's a bad ending, imagine it 10 times worse and you wont even be close to how bad the Halo 2 one was.

In retrospect though, I like the Halo 2 story one hell of a lot more, Half Life 2 doesn't have much story to it, I'd like them to do a 3rd game of the same quality, but packed full of bitching story. I'd like to know a lot of the why things are going on, who people actually are, rather than just what's happening at that very moment.
