Couldn't go out with a loss....so I built 250 fighters and by the time i found who i could attack...i was attacked by 3 empires and now i'm in protection mode lol...kinda liked the old version where you had to send fleets off to attack...this instant battles dont give u a chance cuz I'm sure peeps are just looking to find the new guy in "unprotected" mode.

notice the times....14mins after my first attack, which was the time i prolly took to make the new fighter design, I got attacked, then 5mins later another attack...then finally 2mins later one more attack that put me into protected mode. ah...nice to wake up and see me attacked 3x...atleast I won the first 2...and the first guy had scions :ahoy:

although the 3rd guy WTFPWND! me :x with 10 Destroyers vs 55 Fighters in one shot...long range too....so he would have had medium range to get another free attack on me if I had any ships left.

ah cool...you can still attack while in protected mode...but the key thing is...find a target close to your military ranking...if its less than 60% then u cant attack...but, if the target is higher...build more ships to be above his rating but within the 60% and PWN dem.

with about 100 fighters...I'm #20 in the military ratings. #1-19 would pwn me seriously if i was in range. They all have huge scores from attacks won and prolly are quite farther down the Tech Line.

so i think i'll be staying at #20 or lower for awhile heh

bah...screw the fighters...seems like most peeps have the bigger ships!

got a 2nd planet...going to get all my planets first while upgrading techs for ships and weapons by getting them to 50% with population(CF required) only...then increase the shit out of the rest

i posted about the Resource Upgrade Techs and still dont have an answer why the upgrades are at a negative effect.

just build up on credit income on all planets bar 30% of last planet, then you can build the other resources what you feel like but id advise leaving at least 10% for later on as your always going to have to adjust your income to suit your style of play. with the additional two planets do exactely the same really. credit income take up the most land and is pretty much the most essential thing you need to build everything including tech, more buildings and ships

hehe its always good to read this forum. btw military ranking just shows your military strength vs someone else. The rankings page is the what matters. but the Military Rankings page is a great place to find targets

1)The Hub is giving +50 CF per building?
Intensification Hub +200 CF Energy per tick Credits: 20000 Land: 50
Buildings: 10 = Energy Output: 2500 CF (Cold Fusion)

2)How come the upgraded techs seem to be at a negative result? The Ziton Stage 2+3 is the worse and Metals Stage 4.
(I posted this Ziton Example in the Zaulu forums cuz i couldn't figure how to post on the community forum(till now), but no real help there.)

I thought its best to use as little land as possible to maximize the planet efficiency and to use the minimum CF required. If this is true, then I should only be building Venting Cylinders as there are no cost cuts or better ratios than this Stage 2 Tech??

There still should be a positive purpose of upgrading your resource techs...which there doesnt seem to be with Ziton especially.

12x Venting Cylinder(T2) = 1x Drone Venting(T4)

12x Venting = +300ziton -12cf 7200credits 24Land
1x Drone = +300ziton -50cf 7200credits 250Land

So...for the same amout of ziton...i'm losing -38cf/tick and -206Land per building at the same cost.
So, I lost time researching Ziton Tech 2+3 for no purpose instead of using that time to research other Techs that actually "upgrade".

Since I can only have 5 Planets...I want to use the least amount per building to get the most value out of it.
Too early for anything else atm lol

Thank heavens Mord is better at this game than me. You can tell me wtf I need to do next! I've just got to the stage where I'm pulling in around 10k of everything per tick and am spamming the pop research and building housing for my minions like crazy (seems to me that credits is the one thing always running out). Havn't built a single ship beyond the 30 I started with :)

You should come join our pathetic race M, the Vaxeta senate seems to be pretty useless - you could join me and rule the galaxy as father and son :shock:

from what i gathered a bit too lately...

Techs:
All Population/CF Techs are good...you get credit discounts for each upgrade.
Metal Tech...you get credit discounts for each upgrade but the CF requirements are increased a bit. So, depending if you need credits or CF at the time of buying you have a choice.
Ziton Tech...no point going past Stage 1 as there are no credit discounts, they use more land and CF.

But basically, If i'd start over...I'd just do:
Pop(all) edit:prolly 3 good enuff so as to use more tech time for ships/ammo
CF(all) edit: ^^
Metal(3)
Ziton(1)
Ships+Ammo(all)

Keep the techs going....1 tech for resources(switch between Pop/CF) and 1 tech for Ships/Ammo...skip metal and ziton for now.
(Although, to keep the techs going...make sure you have enuff resources to research them when they can start.)

Use all your credits to buy POPULATION and only the required CF to do that. Get your planet up to 50% explored...get another planet...do this till you get all your 5 planets. When you get your 4th planet...get Ziton 1 and upgrade to Metal 3.

After you get your 5th planet...just leave it for now. Go back to your first planet and start using all your credits for CF/Metals/Ziton buildings so you can start designing and building ships.

Depending on where you are on Ship/Ammo techs, don't build ships until you have a plan of attack and designs made. As soon as you make them...you will get attacked. I'd suggest making multiple designs as each will get their own attack. Build them evenly like 20each at a time. Look at your Combat Ranking...it will have jump up quite a bit with 20each.

Dont attack empire with high scores...it means they won alot of battles and probably have scions and destroyers...u know the big ships and better ranges to :buggered: u.

well..i got my 4 of my planets maxed to 100%
1st planet = approx 90% pop
planets 2-4 = 100% pop
the 5th will be 50% Population and rest in resources

the remaining 50% will take a godlike amount of metal/ziton/cf buildings so you're free to build what you need with about 1.5mil/tick in credits.

MORD's Empire Income
Credits 1388466 per hour
Metals 374090 per hour (10mil in Reserves)
Cold Fusion 50174 per hour (5mil)
Ziton 317030 per hour (8mil)

Going to raise Metals and Ziton Income to 1mil/tick each as i know ships need metal to build and ziton for the shields (another tech I dont have)...dont know if ships require much CF so only buying enuff to make the metal/ziton buildings.

Just waiting on ship/ammo techs now..so i can build something other than a fighter as it seems everyone that attacked me had scions/strikers/destroyers with atleast short and medium range against my 200 short range fighters :?

I see that as a problem with this game...someone with all the techs and a billion resources can beat on noob coming out of protection as soon as they make 1ship. Thats if the UBER one got his fleet destroyed(or even deleted his ships) and moved down in the Military rankings to 0 then builts a few UBER ships to keep his rating around the noob range. Which would be one way to win all the time and score points = Atorian Win.

I think the last one I played was base on Empire Ranking...therefore...you were at the same tech level if i recall correctly ?

I dunno...just waiting on the ships/ammo so i can spend all my money/resources!!!

Good question :-) No one pointed out that problem during beta testing that i was aware of so it probably never got picked up. I will add it to the list of things to do :-)

Yeah there is a bit of a problem with new players joining that when they do their tech is sucky compared to others and you need to spend the first few weeks building your economy - which works well cuz you can spend time researchin the early stuff. In previous episodes we had that techs would add to your score, but problems arose when a player lost all their planets and had full tech because they had no income and couldn't beat the players near their score because they couldn't afford to build a big enough fleet. What probably should happen is techs are added to your Military Rating. This would allow someone to gauge battles a lot better and release the problem that n00bs get crushed by advanced players. Probably worth doing to make the game more n00b friendly :-)

Btw yes we are aware that the game is more fun with tick based attacks and we have been considering an alternative idea to what we used previously.

hmm...same thing like before...have max designs(10) to get 10 attacks...all i had were 6 designs...of the same exact ship...bought 5 of each...attack whoever in range...won....no one in range...bought 5 more of each...attack whoever in range...won....no one in range...bought 5 more of each...attack whoever in range...won :ahoy:

beat up alot of Strikers with my measley fighters :lol:

although...everyone else "protected" unless i want to fight peeps in the Top 20...so, nothing to do unless i wanna sucide bomb them...

bah...finally get Strikers and the only one NOT protected had only Destroyers which Strikers can't target!!!!! :x

So, i make new Fighters to target the Destroyers...and I get a message saying he's protected for 4hours...yet it doesnt say on the rankings!!!!! :x

I've deliberately not built any ships so my military ranking can stay at zero. Once I've got the tech to build Destroyers etc it will be super fleet go time.

What sort of targets should I be setting my ships to attack?
