Due to it being further south, LV space and well defended by the corps there it's rather quiet in the area. There's occasional raiding gangs apparently but it's an awful lot quieter than our current area.

Could I get a couple points clearimuffied? The three belts thing is estimated by our current membership, no? Just wondering if anyone is thinking of moving out if it involves us having a mandatory 15mil fee weekly? I know I'm moving Dres into 5punk, since my alt can't do much in 0.0, and Dres can mine pretty well now! Of course he can't solo mine out there much, but hopefully with the ores I have I can build a BC to take out there. (Would like one of those new ones... fits better with drones...)

But come on peeps, we have different capacity for ops now! We have a carrier to jump the stuff to where it needs to go, we have a freighter to move stuffs about, and fueling a single POS would be a walk in the park without reactions and such!
With the minerals we could get from a 4hour all-miner-no-crying-just-mine-the-freaking-roid-fest, we could build BS's for the corp to PVP in easy. Not to mention other endeavors in the works that could use massive amounts of mins.

So let's go mine!

just a quick question re: marilyn. have we paid for her yet? or is she still at risk of being nicked and melted to pay of the IPO shareholders/used in support of ops by ISSN? thats sommat we'd have to watchout for if (when?) we bang out of ISS altogether.....

the new area where that one alliance is is rogue drones so not isk bounties but the alloys and ore monerals would feed a fleet in no time at all. just fyi. no bounties i don''t like tho :(

Ladies and Gents...

Mining bistot... MMMMUUUUHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHA (Yes there are better ores out there.)

Ok, Granted everything that I am about to bring up, requires us to sell the ore that we mine.

1 coverter, no strip miner 2's No crystals... 48 mill per hour. This was done with a friend that needed some ore.. sooo, I mined 1 hour for me, one hour for him. 4 hours later...

Now 1 hulk, strip miner 2's with T2 crystals. And I can kill my own ratts?!?! :likesitall:

We haven't paid for her no. But with the POS farm to liquidate, the corp will become isk rich enough to do so as well as buy new equipment for manufacturing.

Dolly, the no isk drones is one thing that really puts me off the new regions. No instant isk :(

Quin, those are some damn pretty figures! Now how about me and mir, both in T2 equipped covetors... How long till we both have Hulks? :boogie:
i qill say this North will come back to 5punk to mine if thats the case! he can use a hulk and T2 but still working on all the ore stuff atm

Please bear in mind that high end mineral prices have slumped recently in empire, so the figures are a little deflated at the moment. Even so, it's more isk than we'll ever have made before from mining. I should think our first goals will be to get hulks for all the miners and pay off the carrier.

As for tanking, in C3 most miners don't seem to bother. When the rats appear, they shout in local for 'Clear Belt xx-xx please' and one of the protection crowd (there's almost always a gang in local for this) comes and shoots the rats. The inter-corp solidarity and teamwork is much better that you see elsewhere, and they're well organised with covops providing early warning well before any hostiles appear.

And one important note (Jaeger) - the isk spent on the war is categorically NOT the public IPO money but private ISSO funds. Count treats carriers like the rest of us treat bs's. The ISS IPO currently stands at about 260 bill and rising steadily.

It's all covered in Count's Future of ISS thread on the ISS forum. This is basically what we've been discussing for some time now. In a nutshell, sell/ditch the public outposts, start up more agreements like the one with LV in Tenerifis, go NBSI to help us better achieve our aims, and set ourselves up as a true megacorp. 500bill isk opens up a lot of doors. One of the best anaologies was the 'Mercenary Capitalist'. We are to industry what MC is to PvP. However, there are no concrete plans as yet and probably won't be until the IAC thing resolves itself one way or another.

But the war is serving to strip out the corps from ISS who won't participate or can't handle it and are therefore meer baggage. In true 5punky fashion we're acquitting ourselves so well that we're actually making even more of a name for ourselves - ISS mgmt really don't want us to go, almost more than Praxis at the moment, and that's a real debt of gratitude that we can play on to get the best bits of the pie when it comes to it, rather than being the new boys in town in some upstart alliance who doesn't know us from jack. We're right at the top of ISS.

Tenerifis will offer everything that you have asked for in that other 'Playing Priorities' thread I put up, apart from outright piracy - you'd have to join Moarty to get that. If we switch to NBSI, then that'll be the final piece of the jigsaw. With all that plus our gleaming rep, why leave the alliance when the going is so good? I, like many of you, was very despondent about it all until recently. The steady grind of train, rat, POS, train, rat, POS was wearing me down. But I think the changes in the air are great and the opportunity to forge new ground with a genuinely great bunch of people who pride themselves on doing something different in Eve is one not to be missed.

Hey Gang,

I know I am quite, but lately I have been playing my other Chars --Badger1 you all might see more so, off and on. Anyway, I have been spending time with TM on training the Mining Director/Forman skills, and working some Leadership skills.

In short by Jan 17th, I will have Mining Director V, and Cybernetics V which will allow me to put in the mining forman mindlink... Then add in either the Gang Mod of Mining foreman link of ICE or LASER -- well the mining time and yield per pull really starts to look pretty.

So if you keep the Rats off of Badger1, as the ship TM will be in just sits at the POS behind a shield to give everyone in the gang bonuses (system wide)-- mining sounds just great. 15Mil/Char/Wk I am willing to pay.

I even have a Fenrir once I get it out of Tyco if needed.
Badger1 already has the hulk and tech II crystals ready to go.

Only drawback I have is I might not be down in Tenerifis till after Jan 20th -- when does the corp (if we go this route) plan to move to the area?

Thanks,
Trademaster/Badger1

Glad to here it TM - that's some damn nice skills you've got going there. Fenrir could be a problem: Tycho's looking shaky at the moment (tomorrow's op will tell). Worst case you might have to transfer to an alt corp to get it out if Tycho falls to IAC.

Tenerifis: it seems that the majority of the corp is in favour of this move and with the shape of ISS changing the alliance is going to be a very interesting place to hang out for some time yet (see the Random Discussion part of the ISS forum). As for timelines, we've not made a final decision yet. I need to talk to Feafalas and one or two people in the alliance, and also get a better idea of where we stand in this cursed war with IAC. Could be as little as a week or as long as 3 weeks. But weeks rather than months.

I'd prefer this to happen sometime after the 25th Jan if possible once my exams are out of the way.

Wow! I'm really liking the sound of the new ISS, it sounds like it will suit the 5punky way far better. NBSI and access to more alliances space ftw :boogie:
