Don't get your hopes up, IIRC NWN1 needed to be legit to work even on a lan

Ty and I tried this, and yes t even see the multiplayer menu you need a legit version, although you can trick it into letting you in by blocking internet access. We spent about 20-30 minutes trying different things and finally got to the point where it would have worked, but we were using the same CD-Key

bzzt! Im sorry, thats the wrong answer!

Actually, If you block NWN1 from getting to the authentication servers (i did it by adding them to the hosts file), it'll say "NOOOO! I cannot verify you!" but lets you on to LAN games regardless. There are some small issues (it sometimes complains about cdkeys), but experiments show that repeatedly attempting to connect to the game gets around this.

Ive yet to try NWN2 like this, but I wouldnt be surprised if something similar did the trick.

I could not tell you what to block. That would be tantamount to condoning piracy.

On a completely unrelated note, here are some address' that are used for...er...things:

Allegedly, someone I know swept this only to find the penultimate RAR segment was borked. He apparently reswept said chunk to find it was still borked. If anyone knows of a good sweeping of this, allegedly on torrent, then I shall be on xfire...

Mine works. Came from a well known bay where people of low repute hang out. Gotta make it do multibeard next

multi beard would be nice.

anyway my first impressions are, nice game, runs a bit shite on my machine so i had to turn the settings down so it doesnt look very pretty, its a bit slow at first with the plot but once your out of the first bit it starts to get very good, although, almost all of my attacks miss

yes, now that I've progressed a lot further into the story, the game has gotten a lot better. In my opinion, the story hasn't been as good as KOTOR, but it's definitely keeping my interest. It's better than KOTOR 2's story. (fuck Kreia, hard, in the ass, twice, with a Coke bottle)

I was just thinking the same thing.

I was very disappointed when I first bought NWN2 - the camera was horrible, the controls clunky, and I just wasn't getting into it. Plus it keeps crashing which is still annoying the piss out of me.

I'm liking it a lot more now, but I do agree that KOTOR did the same type of thing a hell of a lot better. Controls were simpler, camera angles were better and the skills/feats seemed to make more sense.

I think this game has suffered the opposite of BF2142 - rather than people criticizing it outright, they're refusing to see any bad points (though reading through the game forums there are an awful lot of people getting pissed off with the glitches, bugs and crashes). It does grow on you a lot though, as long as you don't compare it to Oblivion.

Out of interest, what race/class is everyone playing? I'm a Tiefling Rogue/Sorcerer, heading down the Arcane Trickster prestige class.

I'm a Half-Elf Monk, but I'm not sure what prestige class I'm going for.

I am a half-elf druid, and there are threads in the technical support section of their forums about graphical glitches and making the controls more like WoW.
