BF2 --> BF2142 Veteran Status

On the screenshot up there you'll see a little red BF2 "2" next to my name, which also appears above your head next to your name in the game I think. Also I may have started as veteran rank rather than private but I can't remember for sure.

I've already got a bf2142 player, is there anyway i can get veteran? the form just says that the player name is already taken

I've just tried to do the same and people are saying not. I think you get 2 unlocks so if you're new it might be worth doing as these unlocks could prove valuable as they get harder to achieve...

Not sure what I will do yet...
