Read the words more carefully

it may be that they lie about the quantity they remove but the amount they do get out is enough to let your sister hear.

I read it fine Berk. Learn to read *between* the lines. What I meant was my sister needs this kind of thing for medical reasons, and has therefore looked into it thoroughly, and concluded that the candles work the best.

I'm not convinced either way, it all seems iffy to me.
What do the candles pull from her ears?
Do the candles to anything a cotton bud couldn't (which i've been jamming in my ears for years with no issues)
Has she actually tried seeing a doctor? (internet diagnoses are often very wrong, IME)
Now, i'm not saying it does or doesn't work, but actual, real evidence is good.
Pulls wax out. Presumably. Im not claiming to be an expert in it myself, but the problem she has is wax, so I guess thats what it pulls out.
Yes, she has been to the doctor, which is how she knows its due to her tiny ears. He actually suggested trying the candles (or that otex stuff) due to the fact that regular syringing is a bad plan, as it *will* cause damage over time. Cotton buds, in her case, just wont work, as they wont fit. However, he also said that you should never, ever stick hard things (including cotton buds on a stick) in your ear, as theres a chance of poking it through something sensitive. Often you wont, but he wouldnt risk it.
I've been having real problems with hearing certain sounds recently, and I think I need my ears syringed, so I might actually give these candle things a go, and let you know the results.
ive recently gone completely deaf in the left ear, its only about a year after getting them syringed last time though so looks like im gonna have to try some voodoo techniques myself
