This has been discussed to death on places like IMDb. Apparently they come up with the idea before the South Park episode and I think maybe even some claims that the idea was stolen by the SP boys.

Those guys over at imdb are crazy. I've seen several people claim zombie movies are racist because of black zombies and stuff over there. As far as this film is concerned, meh, who cares who came up with the idea. It's been implemented very differently (one's a full length film and the other is a 30 minute cartoon), so they're both funny despite having the same basic plot

It's hardly an original premise in the first place, pretty much every single kid had exactly the same idea the first time they ever saw (at least the early) special olympics - thinking "that looks pretty easy, I could totally own that if I could just pretend to be disabled".

The movie isn't making anyway near as much money as they were expecting based on the hype.

It wasn't obviously trying to be funny, in fact it was confusing how it switches between serious and funny, neither of which actually it actually carries off very well apart from the odd one from Samuel L.

I'll give it 6/10 because it should have been a lot better when in fact it was just a rehash of things we've seen many times before.

The script was written before it was called "Snakes On A Plane" and before Sam L was on board, if you truly liked it you could omit these two factors and in this case i suggest you look up "8-Legged Freaks" the same format but all the more pleasing.

Besides, Rob Manuel officially called it uncool

Slightly redundant retort considering which film we're talking about here...
