After hearing all the reccomendations for Halloumi, I just fried some in corn oil. Fucking hell it's lovely!

The pan I used had recently been frying bacon, so it got an extra sweet bacony taste to it. Nice.

I have some in the fridge - do you cut it into sort-of-round slices or into sticks?

I chop mine either into rough slices or cubes, making sure all the sides are browned well.
REmove to a plate with some kitchenroll on it to absorb the excess fats, and eat at once

ah the cheese!

after sampeling a lot of it on the continent, i have finally agreed that you cannot beat a nice bit of english extra mature cheddar. The rest are either too soft, too hard, too mild or bitter. Closely followed by red leicter or perhaps a good strong edam.

CHEDDAR! its just so simple and great! :ignore:

//edit, yes fried hallumi is also amazing, but its too mild to use as an "everyday" cheese

Well if anyone eats too much cheese, the newest member appears to be selling cheap diet pills.
