apoc setup i was thinking aboot

5X tachyon modulated energy beam I (either infared L or ultraviolet L ammo)
1X 'arbalest' cruise launcher I

100mm afterburner II
stasis webifier I
2X cap recharger I

4X energized adaptive nano membrane II
2X large armor repairer II
1X heat sink II

only problem is, even with the 2 cap rechargers it will probably drain cap like silver light sucks rocks

and it would cost more money than i want to think

could change the guns for less cost and maybe be able to fit 8 turrets
thoughts?

edit: i could get this all trained by the 17th of july i think

If you change to smaller guns you'll be able to fit more of them and do more damage than with the tachyons. Also, you'll only need the dual armour reppers if youre complexing, if you arent swap one for a cap power relay.

In a nutshell, that.

First problem I see is you've got 5 guns and a launcher on a ship with 8 turret points. That needs changing. Kick off one of the armour reppers like Lee suggested as you are only going to need 1 and fit a reactor control unit. If after this you still can't fit a full rack of guns then either downgrade to megabeams, or fit another RCU. As for cap if you find your running out then train amarr battleship higher. The apocs ship bonuses provide you with even more cap and fitting right I've seen apocs run dual repper tanks forever (cap skills at 5, amarr BS 5, 4 T2 cap rechargers and a cap power relay) while sitting there pumping out pain from 6 megabeams.

done a test and changed the large repper II for a t2 RCU which means i can fit 7 tachyons, if i knocked of one of the energized adaptive nano membrane II then i could fit 8 and have 1037 powergrid left but no slots. i could also change the webber and cap rechargers to t2 if the quickfit things correct, this is assuming i train all the skills i worked out before, otherwise i wouldnt be able to fit the last gun.

how does that look then?

8 tachyons with large ultraviolet crystals
100 mm ab II
stasis webifier II
2 cap recharger II
heat sink II
1 large armor repairer II
3 energized adaptive nano membrane II
and two t2 RCU

and this setup would probably cost somewhere between 350 mil and 400 mil

Looks good but:

1) T2 webbers aren't in game
2) Use multi crystals, gives more damage
3) You're looking at more like 250mil to buy, outfit and 100% insure.

Good otherwise!

reason i wasnt using multifrequincy crystals is cos i wanted a bit of range with the guns, and i posted the t2 webber thing cos it said there was them ingame, i suppose i might not be able to use drones at the distance with ultraviolet crystals

Is there any reason for an ab and web if youre staying at long range? you wont need the ab to get in close and you'll be out of web range anyway.

Good point Lee. I'm going to have a go at a few more Apoc setups when I get home so I'll post the results here in a bit. I know dual rep, dual nos, pulse setups are quite effective :)

Ki's PvP set-ups

Post by Ki »

I have recieved a few requests on what I use for PvP loadouts, so here is a run down:

Raven (Offensive):

Hi-slots:
6 T2 Cruise
2 Heavy Diminishing Nos

Mid-Slots:
2 T2 Sensor Bossters
2 T2 Sensor Jammers (racials with known ships types)
1 Named Webber (10km range)
1 Warp Jammer (20km range)

Low-Slots:
Option 1 -Gang:
2 T2 Power Diagnostic Unit
3 T2 Ballistic Control unit

Option 2 -Solo
1 T2 Power Diagnostic Unit
1 T2 Balistic Control Unit
3 Warp Core stabalizers

Drones:
5 Valkryies T2
5 Warrior T2

Cargo:
270ea FoF Cruise (4 damage types)
270ea of Precicion Cruise (4 damage types)
270ea of Fury Cruise (4 damage Types)
Remaining Space: Normal cruise with empahsis on Em and Explosive damage types

I typically rat in 0.0 using this offensive set-up while being able to safely traget ships at 204km. With 3 t2 BCU I maintain a 7.1sec ROF with damage of 547 agasint unresisted targets. T2 Precicion give 453, and t2 Fury give 614. Utilizing t2 target painters the damage can increse between 50 to 80 point per cruise missile.
-----------------
Raven (Defensive) Used to bait target and/or soak damage for gang

Hi-Slots:
6 T2 Cruise
1 Heave Dimining Nos
1 Heavy 500W Neutralizer

Mid-Slots:
1 XL-CL5 Shield Booster
1 Capacitor Booster (/w 800 unit booster charges)
2 T2 Invulnerabilty Fields
1 T2 EM hardner (or to specific enemy weapons)
1 Shield Boost Amplifier (best named)

low-Slots:
Option 1- Gang
1 T2 Ballistic Control Unit
1 T2 Power Diagnostic Unit
3 Warp Core Stabalizers

Option 2 - Solo
1 T2 Balistic control unit
4 Warp Core Stabalizers

Drones:
5 Warrior T2
5 Light Webifier Drones
5 EW drones (situational dependant)

Ammo:
540 Fof Cruise (4 damage types)
270ea Precicion Cruise (4 damage types)
270ea Fury Cruise (4 damage types)
16 800 Capacitor booster Charges

Heavy tank setup to soak enemy fire for a sizable amount of time. Dont have the exact regen per sec (will add this at a later time) yet on the field have been able to soak damage from 1 Armagedon and 1 Blasterthron for well over 60 seconds before going into armor (and managed to kill the mega)

1 Ditrigonal Thermal Barrier Crystallisation I
1 Large T2 Shield Extender
1 Eutectic I Capacitor Charge Array

3 T2 Tracking Enchancers
1 Reactor Control

4 Hammerhead Drones

Tanks like a crack-whore, and kills cruisers quite happily until they get with 8KM. Hitting at a max range of 60KM, that's a nasty killing ground to cross 8)
Top setup! Been trying this out around Hoth and the rats haven't managed to scratch the paint yet, I'm guessing I need a WCS somewhere if I'm to go into lower sec, though.

MORDETH's POS/LvL3 Mish's Ferox

Highs
5x Heavy (mix n match atm)
1x 250mm Compressed (antimatter + Lead for the 950ks cuz I like to stay at 48km :) )
1x Tractor Beam

Mids
2x Anointed EM Hardner
1x Ditrog Thermal Hardner
2x F59 Large Extenders

Lows
2x Shield Power Relays
2x BCU T2

Can solo everything...although, the 950k's take forever to kill...and if there's 2 of them...i need to kill the little ships first(leave 1) and get to 48km(my missile range and just out of theirs). By the time the 2nd one pops...another 950k spawns...btw...at 48km...they dont chase...so i sit and wait till they pop...stretch my legs...get a beer....good times :) unless they spawn right on top of u then drones come into play and they pop much faster while chasing to get closer to the loot :)

LvL 3 Mish's on the harder ones, i used 4x hardners/1x extender, 1x PDU/3x SPR and 2x 150mm Compressed(antimatter)

Have you considered sticking a drone control link thing onto your high slot in place of the railgun? Odds on your gunnery skills suck so you'd probably do more DPS wth drones than one gun.

MORDETH's LVL4 Mish Raven (work in progress as I only have 2.4mil SP with 1mil in Learning)

Hi's
6x Heavy Missile (mix n match - 2days til Cruise Missiles)
1x Heavy Nos
1x Medium Nos

Mid's
4x Hardners T2
1x Large Shield Booster T2
1x Shield Booster Amp

Low's
3x PDU
1x SPR (will try Shield Flux Coil when able)
1x BCU T2

Obviously a "weak" Raven until i get more skills. I've done 4 LvL4 Mish's so far, 2 solo and 2 with help which I could solo but would take forever. Hopefully, once I get Cruise Missiles it'll speed things up.

This "weak" Raven would PWN all LvL3 mishs.

Being Caldari, never bothered with Drone skills, but now with the Raven having a 75m3 dronebay I'll look into it. I only have Drone 4, Durability 2 and Nav 2. And my drone range is only 30km atm.

Don't, I repeat, Don't fit a shield flux coil. They're one of the best items in eve for gimping a shield tank.

Being bored at work is.... well, boring.

Absolution setup (PVP)

High:
6 x Heavy Pulse Laser II, Conflagration M crystals
1 x Medium Diminishing Nosferatu OR Gang Module

Medium:
1 x 10mn Afterburner II
1 x J5 OR J5B Scrambler
1 x Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor (90%)

Low:
2 x Medium Armor Repairer II
3 x Heat Sink II OR 2 x Heat Sink II, 1 x Cap Power Relay, depending on skills
1 x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
1 x Energized Thermic Membrane II

:above: = EVIL

Damnation Tank Setup for 6/10 and 7/10 complexes

High:
4 x Medium Diminishing Nosferatu
3 x Gang Module

Medium:
4 x Cap Recharger II

Low:
2 x Medium Armor Repairer II
1 x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
1 x Armor EM Hardener II
1 x Armor Kinetic Hardener II
1 x Armor Thermic Hardener II

I'm at work, so I don't know the resists on it, but I'm quite sure they'll all be above 90% :excited:

You'd end up with something like:

EM 89.74000000
Explosive 88.60000000
Kinetic 90.38125000
Thermal 83.32750000

That's not bad. Also, that's assuming your not running a gang link to increase your resistances further, and of course factional hardeners would make a nice difference.

And you should never armour tank a ship without a damage control, 50%+ hull resists ftw. Just swap an energized adaptive for one.
