Ship setups
Okay, similar thing been done before and a big thread on the EVE forums, but they're all a bit conflicting. So, here's some nice ship setups I'd like to share with my fellow 5punkers. I hope other people will do the same.
Dog Pant's Brawler (Rifter) recipie
3 x 200mm prototype autocannon with EMP ammo
1 x small nosferatu
1 x small shield extender
1 x small shield booster
1 x 1mn MWD
1 x Warp core stabiliser
2 x Gyrostabiliser
Obviously named mods work the best, but for me the guns are the only ones that are essential. Optimum range is about 500m - well within most other ships' optimum making you very hard to hit. The ACs pack a fair punch with EMP and the Nos helps run the shield booster.
This is my ship of choice (until I get an Assault Frigate), and usually takes down NPC Frigates in less than a second. It's a good setup for a fairly new player to go ratting in. It can also take cruisers down with no problems as they're unable to hit you.
Update
Edited for RMR. This fit will run the booster for about 90% of the time with the NOS, allowing you to tank 1 or 2 frigs, at least until you can thin the enemy out a bit. The stab's there because we're living an increasingly dangerous life in 5punkorp with wartargets out there. Also, this fit can be used in a Jaguar to the same effect but with a lot more shield.
Stabber
4 x 220mm Autocannon with EMP ammo
1 x Malkuth rocket launcher with Gremlin ammo
1 x Malkuth rocket launcher with Thorn ammo
1 x Afterburner II
1 x Capacitor recharger
1 x Medium capacitor battery
1 x Gyrostabiliser
1 x small armour repairer
1 x 800mm armour plate
This is just a scaled up version of my Brawler. Optimum range is about 1km and the AB gets you there pretty damn quick. It's armour focused rather than shield and it lasts a fair while. Can take on two or three cruisers with frig support, but the frigs can cause a problem as they're hard to hit. It's worked pretty well ratting in 0.2 for me for a while. Just remember to get out when you look like you'll hit structure - discretion is definately the best part of valour as I found out to my disadvantage.

Please note these set-ups are based around the upcomming changes in red moon rising and have been tested on the test server. Also I have weapon upgrades 5, advance weapon upgrades 3, Enginnering 5, Electronics 5 and Energy Grid Upgrades 3 to help me fit this little lot, so if it doesn't work for you, there's why.
Cyclone
5 650mm Gallium Artillery Cannons with Nuclear Ammo
3 'Malkuth' Heavy Launchers With Thunderbolt Missiles
1 Medium T2 Shield Booster
1 'Anointed' I EM Ward Reinforcement
1 Ditrigonal Thermal Barrier Crystallisation I
1 Large T2 Shield Extender
1 Eutectic I Capacitor Charge Array
3 T2 Tracking Enchancers
1 Reactor Control
4 Hammerhead Drones
Tanks like a crack-whore, and kills cruisers quite happily until they get with 8KM. Hitting at a max range of 60KM, that's a nasty killing ground to cross
Rupture - Now Tested and altered on the test server
3 720mm Gallium Howitzler Cannons with Phased Plasma
3 'Malkuth' Assault Launchers With Sabretooth Missiles
1 T2 10mn Afterburner
2 f-B10 Nominal Capacitor Rechargers
1 T2 Medium Armour Repairer
1 Microcell Nanite Explosive Hardener I
1 Microcell Nanite Kenetic Hardener I
1 Microcell Nanite Thermal Hardener I
1 400mm Rolled Tungsten Plate
3 Hammerhead Drones
Horribly dangerous at 17KM. This is almost the exact set-up I used to win the infamous battle of Rens. Just has a tad more firepower.
PVP Cyclone
5 720mm Gallium (noticing a pattern yet?) Howitzler Cannons with Fusion Ammo
3 'Malkuth' Heavy Launchers With Scourge Missiles
T2 Medium Shield Booster
2 Optical Tracking Computers
2 Sensor Boosters
3 Gyrostabilisers
1 Reactor Control
4 Hammerhead Drones
Isn't very good at dealing sheild damage, but the moment I hit armour on a cruiser I wipe it in one volley. Structure then fails the cruiser pops. Dangerous at 25KM this thing.
Upgraded Cyclone
5 720mm Prototype I Siege Cannons With Phased Plasma
3 Advanced 'Limos' Heavy Missile Bays With Thunderbolt Missiles
1 T2 Medium Shield Booster
1 T2 Photon Barrier
1 T2 Heat Disipation Field
1 T2 Large Shield Extender
1 Shield Boost Amp
1 T2 Gyrostabiliser
2 T2 Tracking Enchancers
1 Reactor Control
4 Hammerheads
Stabber
4 425mm Prototype Cannons with EMP Ammo
2 Assualt Launchers with Sabretoth Missiles
1 T1 10MN Afterburner
1 T2 Medium Shield Booster
1 f-B10 Nominal Capacitor Recharger
3 T2 Gyrostabilisers
1 Warrior Drone
get cruiser within 2KM and watch them die under the sheer weight of shots being fired. Gets there damn fast too. Fit an MWD and it cover well over 2KMps

you need to copy your eve folder to a different location, then install the test server patches from the Eve Online Site. once all that's done, and if the server'll let you on, then yes you can blow up ships, or more likely get blown up, with relative impunity. All you've got to do is go to PF-346 and join the corp fight club.
What I use:
Prophecy All-Round Setup
5 x Heavy Beam Laser I (thinking of getting some better ones) w/ multi crystals
1 x Malkuth Heavy Launcher w/ whatever missiles I feel like
1 x Medium Nosferatu
1 x Y-S8 Afterburner
1 x X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator
1 x Warp Scrambler I (or named, I can't remember which I use)
1 x Medium Armor Rep I
1 x 400mm Nanofiber Armor Plate
1 x Heat Sink I
1 x Power Diagnostic System I
2 x Reactor Control Unit I
Optimal of about 8,500m, though I tend to try and get within 7,500m cause I can web and scramble them then.
Prophecy Gank Setup (as yet untested in PvP)
6 x Heavy Pulse Laser I, or named, with Multi
1 x Medium Nosferatu
1 x 10mn MWD I
1 x X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator
1 x Cap Recharger I
1 x Medium Armor Rep I
3 x Heat Sink I (4tw!!)
2 x RCU I
This has seemed nice against rats so far, I think I just need an inty to test it against...
Executioner Blockade Runner
2 x Dual Light Modal Pulse Laser I (token gestures, really)
1 x 1mn MWD I
3 x Capacitor Power Relay I
Possible Apoc Setup?
8 x Mega Pulse Laser I w/ multi
1 x Li-F Booster Rockets
2 x Sensor Booster I
1 x Webber (to stop those annoying shits that like to get close)
1 x Large Armor Rep I
1 x 1600mm Nanofiber Plate (4TW)
3 x Heat Sink I
2 x RCU I
I've worked it out that this should fit with current skills. Also, it shouldn't be too hard to train some things up to T2 (Heat Sinks for example). Also, I can switch between multi and IR for some nice range, well, for pulse lasers anyway (probably about 40km if you're wondering).

*bump* Also, a few more ship set-ups for you killing pleasure.
Jaguar
3 200mm Autocannon IIs loaded with EMP
1 TE-2100 Standard Missile Bay loaded with Sabretooth missiles
1 1mn Afterburner II
1 Small Shield Booster II
1 Small Shield Extender II
2 Gyrostabiliser II
1 Tracking Enhancer II
CPU is quite tight on this setup, but you could easily replace the tracking enhancer or a gyrostabiliser for a co precessor.
Wolf
4 280mm Howizler Artillery II loaded with Phased Plasma or EMP
1 1mn Afterburner II
1 Stasis Webifier I
1 Small Armour Repairer II
1 Energised Reactive Membrane I
1 Radioisotope Adaptive Nano Membrane I
1 Micro Auxiliary Power Core I
CPU and Grid is tight as a drum on this, so you've got to have uber high fittings skills to get it all one. it's worth though when you down an NPC destroyer in two volleys

1x 100mn Afterburner II
1x Stasis Webifier or Cap Recharger
1x Warp Scrambler or Cap Recharger
2x Cap Recharger
2x Large Armour Repairer II
3x Energised Adaptive Membrane II
1x Reactor Control Unit
1x Warp Core Stabiliser
What do you think of this setup? My plan is to suck the enemy dry then drone them to death. According to Quickfit I can run the 2 reppers for 3 minutes then one will disable and the cap will recharge until i can enable it again. Also it says that with good drone skills I can get them doing nearly 300dps.

For Bob:
How to tank a Prophecy:
This will probably require Engineering and Electronics to level 5, as this can be a very CPU/Grid intensive setup. Also, cap skills need to be at least level 4, 5 if you feel like taking about 3/4 weeks out to train them up (not necessary, at least not yet, imo). You'll need Mechanic and Repair Systems to 4 to fit a T2 repper, but I would go for Repair Systems 5 as this gives you a faster cycle time on it. I currently have Weapon Upgrades 4, to free up CPU for other things.
My current setup is:
5 x Named Heavy Pulse Laser (obviously, better named are preferable, T2 may need to wait till you have Advanced Weapon Upgrades)
1 x Limos Heavy Missile Bay
1 x E50 Nosferatu
1 x 10mn Afterburner II
2 x F-b10 Cap recharger
1 x Medium Armor Repairer II
1 x 400mm Rolled Tungsten Armor Plate
1 x Cap Power Relay
3 x Race-specific Hardeners
With the hardeners, pick your rat type, i.e. Sanshas (which I assume is what you're gonna be tanking against). They use EM and Thermal damage. Look at the ship resists and see which of those your ship is weakest against, in this case it'll be Thermal. So slap on 1 Armor EM and 2 Armor Thermal Hardeners (T1 is great, T2 is best). With my current skills (don't forget your Battlecruiser skill gives resist bonuses, train that too!), I get 83% EM and 84.3% Thermal Resists. You can boost these further by training Armor EM and Thermal Compensation Skills (found under the 'Mechanic' section of your helpful local store) to 4 or 5, and BC to 4 or 5, depending on time available.
Hope this helps!

Friznit's Ratting or Mission Ferox:
5 x Malkuth Heavy Missile Launchers
1 x Med NOS
1 x Tractor Beam
1 x Large Shield Extender
3 x Shield Hardeners (2 EM, 1 Therm by default)
1 x Med Shield Booster
2 x PDU
2x BCU
Great cap, great resistances, strong shield, no optimum range but dmg output on the weaker side. Upgrade any or all to named or T2 when you have the skills and don't forget the BC resistances increase with each level. Oh yeah, and a full suite of T2 mods, less the launchers, comes in at about 27mill which just happens to be exactly the platinum insurance payout.
Raven Fit
6 x Cruise Missile Launchers
2 x Heavy NOS
1 x Large Shield Extender
3 x Shield Hardeners
1 x Large Shield Booster
1 x Shield Boost Amp
Combo of 2 PDU, 3 BCU
Basically the same fit as the Ferox but on a BS.

Seeing as Amblin's bumped it, I'll post some more
Prophecy T2 Setup
5 x Heavy Pulse Laser II (Infrared for range, MF for close up)
1 x SV-2000 Assault Missile Bay
1 x Medium Nosferatu II
1 x 10mn Afterburner II
1 x X5 Webifier
1 x Warp Scrambler I (swap for an f-b10 or Eutectic for fleet ops)
1 x Medium Armor Repairer II
1 x 400mm Rolled Tungsten Plate
3 x Energised Adaptive Nano Membrane II
1 x Heat Sink II
I shall hope to have this in a few weeks
I would probably use beams on this though, for the better damage potential. Actually , looking at it now, I shall probably ditch the pulses in favour of T2 beams, fit an RCU in place of an EANMII and stick some T2 ammo in them

Realising that we have an Incursus BPO, I've worked up some fits. Here's the first;
Incursus tackler set-up
His (3)
3x small NOS
Mids (3)
1x webber
1x scram
1x MWD
Lows (2)
2x nano
(swap 1x nano for MAPC if low grid skills)
full set up (all T1, unnamed) will make 2500 mps with acceleration control 2. With my skills (may vary due to agility stuff), I set orbit at 2,000 m and it will orbit a can at around 4200m / 1700 mps, allowing the NOSs to bite (5500m range). closer orbit is possible, but speed diminishes (of course).
/Edit I tested this on Wiggy's Prophecy (ta Wiggy
) and it's sustainable, even with wiggy's med NOS on me.

Perfect. Add the Incursus to 5punkships. This is the basic setup for the 5punkship tacklers (Incursus, Rifter, Merlin):
2 Nos, 2 Weapons (rkts/autocannons/lasers)
MWD, Web, Scram (add addtl web or scram if space)
Nano, Overdrive (addtl overdrive or CPR optional)
We have BPO's for all of those less the Overdrive and the ammo.
For 5punkship 'damage' dealers, I so far have two kessie fits, one using rockets (a very low SP fit) and the Advanced Kessie, using missiles, MAPC and armour.

3x small NOS
1x small Energy neut or 4th

1x Web
1x Scram
1x MWD
Lows (3)
2x nano

/edit; tried this out (thanks wiggy) with the neut, it's sustainable (with my cap skills, which I ... err can't remember atm, but basic to level 4, probably). You take out around 15 cap / second, which is about the same as a med armour rep and was sufficient to get wiggy's Prophecy down to 1/2 cap in a couple of minutes. not so much use against a BC then, but would suck a cruiser dry pretty damn quick. It remains sustainable with the neut off and a med NOS operating from the target ship. The neut could be easily swapped out for 4th NOS. You could also swap out the neut and one NOS for 2 blasters, which also ought to be sustainable (but I'll need to test it)
Tristan long range damage dealer
His (4)
2x 125 or 150 rails (depends on grid skills)
2x missile launcher
Mids (3)
1x AB
1x cap recharger

The only difficulties I can see with this ship is the fitting is quite tight without high grid skills and it has very little tanking potential (hence I didn't fit one at all on the tackler setup.) The MAPC is very useful and makes the fiting a lot more comfotable (although requires a L4 skill, I recall). Once you have grid skills and are comfortable in frigates, this is a very useful little ship ... with T2 blasters and void ammo, it stings like a bastard!
for a Marginis suicide frig or womble fleet boat, I'd probably swap the armour rep fro a 2nd nano and the cap recharger for a booster

Tempest PVE
6 X 1400mm Artillery Cannons with Depleted Uranium (preferably named, but T1 works)
2 X Cruise Missile Launchers with Paradise Cruise Missiles
1 X Large Shield Booster
4 X Shield Hardeners (T2 is a vast improvement over T1, so take the time and train for them)
3 X Gyrostablisers (T2 or factional)
1 X Warp Core Stabilizer
1 X Co-processor (Made sure it's not a named basic mod. standard t1 is 7% bonus)
1 X Reactor Control Unit (again, make sure it's not a named basic mod. base T1 is 10%)
7 X Hammerhead Drones
Vagabond Fit
5 X T2 220mm Vulcan Autocannons with EMP (if it's not T2, you shouldn't be flying a vagabond)
1 X Medium Nosferatu (I like the E50s)
1 X 10mn Microwarpdrive (Preferably T2)
1 X Stasis Webifier (Try and fit an X5 or better)
2 X T2 Large Shield Extender
3 X Gyrostabilizer
2 X Shield Power Relays
5 X Warrior Drones

Yay for thread revival!
Bomber's still-in-testing Ishkur PvP fit.
3x 125mm Rail IIs, ammo to give 18km opt (AM with AF4)
One spare hi slot
tackle + ABII
EANM
Expl hardener (passive)
Armour rep II
T2 Drones
Ishkur has 15m3 base drone bay, with 5m3 bonus per AF level. So, with AF2 you have 25m3 = 5small T2 drones (Warriors and hornets). For each level above 2, I intend to swap out one small for a medium so;
AF3 = 4 sm 1 Med
AF4 = 3 sm 2 Med
AF5 = pension time (and 2 sm, 3 med)
with maxed grid and CPU skills this leaves some spare (30 CPU, 6.x grid). There's a possibility to swap out the AB for a MWD, but I can't really see the advantage. this has an opt of 18km, drones will fly to 45 km. I'm working on a longer range fit, possibly using 150s, but the grid is a bit too tight so I'll probably stay with the 125s and swap the ammo out for long range. Any idea for the spare hi slot would be appreciated .. not enough CPU for a Drone link, sadly
I'll swap out the hardeners for T2 next week, once Hull upg V is done, and see what the resists are then, but I have a feeling they'll be pretty good
Brutix Ratting fit
7x Heavy ions (probably an idea to sacrifice one for a tractor beam here)
3x fb-10, 1xABII
1x Damage control, Med armour rep II, EM/Therm hardeners
This can achieve >80% resists in EM/therm

Pff, you have an ishkur? /jealous
I'd use something like this:
Lee's Ishkur PVP Fit
3x Light Ion Blasters
1x NOS
AB
Webber
7.5km Scrambler
Small Armour Repairer
Damage Control
Energized Explosive Membrane
All T2 or named, It'll do over 100dps with blasters and 5 T2 small drones and the damage control will give slightly lower armour resists but its worth it for the 50+% hull resists.
Also I want to try out this:
Megathron PVE Fit
7x 425mm Rails
4x Cap Rechargers
Large Armour Repairer
Damage Control
2x Energised Adaptive Membrane
3x Magnetic Field Stabilisers
All T2 or named, does over 200dps and tanks for ages with maxed skills. One of the damage mods could be swapped for a wcs if needed.
