Right, i have stuff outlined so far:

Full building and assembly guide (including a what's what of PSU connections)
Troubleshooting on complete system
Windows Installation Basics?
CPU cooler installation
Arctic silver usage
Hardware handling guides.
mobo lights
US power
Quick guide to static electricity.
basics of cable routing, folding and airflow
Master/Slave/Jumpers
Motherboard parts reference guide

Is there anything else people would like to see in there?

thats what every noob i know whove failed at building a pc have cocked up at some point

How about tracking down elusive drivers/finding what drivers your mobo etc needs. Ive had trouble in the past with building machines from spares, not even knowing what model the mobo *is*, let alone having the drivers for it. Might be a bit out of what you were aiming for here though.

EDIT:oh, and a guide as to what to set your bios settings to would be good.

I'm pretty much aiming to make a guide so anyone at all can follow it using new hardware from the point of unboxing it, to getting into windows, so pretty much drivers and stuff on various CDs

it's a possibility, but it's one of those things that could be massive hassle, given the hundreds of flavours of bioseseses out there.

i'll likely cover the essentials* in a setup and troubleshooting section

*boot drives, memory speeds, system clock setting, etc.

Just to be clear on this.

The scope of this guide is to get anyone (i mean, your sister, your girlfriend or your granny) from a heap of computer parts, to a working machine in windows with no issues.
