I shall motion for the squad to hold back and I will approach quietly.

Approaching the blip you come across a reasonably large open area. In the middle is a small figure, sat reclining and wearing dirty jeans and a leather jacket.

Assuming deject fills us in:

Right, I'll go get somewhere smart and keep an eye out on the surrounding area.

If there's somewhere higher up that I need to climb to get to, let me know and I'll roll for that.

Am I close enough to identify this person (i.e.: is this our target)?

You don't think it's your guy, it looks more like a child. Those of you detecting notice that he appears to have his foot in a hole in the ground like it's trapped. It doesn't seem to be bothering him particularly, but shortly after you start watching him he starts tugging at it and struggling a little.

I don't suppose there is an easy way for us to skip by unnoticed is there?

Obviously I'd rather just avoid this altogether, but if you guys have my back with a hailstorm of bullets I suppose we could approach the kid and see what is going on.

You can absolutely skip it. It's not directly on your route, you can just back off and carry on your way if you like.

The curiosity is burning me up, and I can't help but think it's some sort of weird biological lure for an even bigger monster underground... But we should probably bypass it and keep an eye on it for anything dodgy.

On the other hand, maybe a mute boy has his leg stuck in a hole and he's tugging on it 'cause some heavily armoured Ops have just rocked up and he's scared.

Hal will wander towards the kid. I'll stay out of reach (say 10 feet) but squat down slightly to be more at his level. Im going to stay ready to run like fuck though.

Hal's already investigating, so there's that. I vote that we let him continue to interrogate the Angler Fish lure.

I believe my Tactics are more like troop positions and such, rather than a "Help, I'm not sure what to do!" skill, as I used to believe.

The kid suddenly pulls his foot out of the hole and spins round. His face is filthy and twisted, with a slack jaw, jagged teeth, and a demented look. He squawks excitedly and then turns to run.

Tactics I was thinking so you could see how good an ambush site this was and where we would likely see trouble from.

Looks like we may be out of time though.

How many aims mr Pants?

So I think max I can get for standing aim is +4

So, Rifle 4, +4 Aims, +1 Red Dot, Range -4 (I'm guessing Long), Shot Shells +2, Aim head -4 = +3

Roll(2d10)+3:
9,8,+3
Total:20

Boom. Headshot.

10 damage, 7 pen, 7AD
