Ah, no, I took the server down because no one was playing. I'm happy to start it up again/have a look at this new mod if people are interested though..

Hexxit looks interesting. I got burnt out on FTB as it got far too technical, too much sitting in your base tinkering. And Direwolf's videos have completely lost me. Although don't start a server on my account, I've got plenty of other things I need to be doing. Like clicking cookies :(

I ran it for an evening and got up to about 100 million a second, but kind of lost interest. I did some maths on it which was more interesting, but actually turned out simpler than it appears.

Each price point is roughly 1.15 times the previous one, so the most efficient number of each item per cost is naturally, about 7.
Each higher-up item is less efficient than the preceeding one, as the start cost is much higher, so you can have up to around 25 of each lower item before they become less efficient by cost than 7 of the one above.

I gave up doing the maths on it a while back. Now just been leaving it going for a few hours then going on a buying binge.
Up to 3.1 billion per second now, but I think the Grandmas are getting moody or something

There is a good addon called Cookie Monster, which is a bit of JS that runs a remote program, it tells you which building or upgrade to buy for the most efficient return per cost.

Do we have a server still up and if so what mods are we running?

Minecraft 1.7 is live now. Worth a look but servers need updating.

I made a new vanilla 1.7 server - 85.236.100.199:29065

Usual whitelist used. Everyone should be on there, but let me know if you need access.

I got burnt out from those large modpacks versions, going back to a updated vanilla is quite refreshing. Although I would like a few simple mods, like the silly hats one, a basic mini-map, maybe tree capitator, things like that.

Let me know if there's any problems. I'm not convinced Multiplay is doing a great job of hosting yet.

Lovely! I think a very light one in terms of mods is just what I need too :ahoy:

I was just fannying about with the graphics option looking for a way to turn on the coordinates and I accidentally turned on the psychedelic old school 3D option. Sprog happened to have a pair of the old red and green 3D glasses nearby so I gave it a go.

Observation 1: Holy shit, it's actually pretty cool.

Observation 2: I have a headache.

You get used to it after a few seconds of movement, but Sprog kept waving things in front of my face and making me lose focus.
