That happened to me, so much that I abandoned tanking on my level 50, turned him into a support healer instead (not to blame if the tank dies, still does useful stuff and gets into dungeons slightly faster than DPS)

Well, yeah, thats what I would suggest. All my characters are there, currently it is pretty quiet but I suspect the returning/new players are going to cause the population on IceWatch to skyrocket, so unless you like waiting in queues Blightweald is the way forward.
Either way, you can transfer shard at whim.

Hmm. Says I can't transfer while 'coin locked.' Very helpful. Does that mean it isn't free yet and I need to pay?

I had that - it's a security measure if you're logging on from a different computer or IP. Link

Click on a thing and it sends you a code to unlock. Note, you need to empty your bank and mail box to transfer shards. I've got to characters on Blightweasel now, but I have to wait 5 days to transfer the other one.

Sorted. One down. Fucking hell, transferring the contents of my bank as my main is a tall order. Think I'll be selling a lot of crafting mats.

I was able to transfer my characters just by emptying my mailbox, the contents of my bank came across with me. You probably just sold a load of stuff that will be worth more on the AH in a weeks time...

I didn't sell them, I couldn't be arsed so I transferred a character who could carry their own stuff.

if anybody hasn't already picked the game up and wants to help me obtain a horse that somebody has helpfully set on fire - possibly in order to speed up the process from horse to shepherds pie - then follow this link, I don't think accounts getting activated as part of the F2P conversion next week count but it's got to be worth a try.

I transferred all my characters to Blightweald last night, complete with bank. Sorted. Apparently I need to rename at least one though. Who'd have thought someone else would name all their characters after botnets?

I had to change my second clerics name and then I couldn't name it Grammaton - looks like some other cupcake watched Equilibrium too. Transferring is also a good way of renaming your characters if you don't like their names, just make sure to create another character with the same name on your destination server before you transfer.

Definately, characters can now "mentor" by lowering their level to one appropriate to the group - and they still get xp appropriate to their real level.

Myself, Grimmie, Em, Johnson, and Bits made some new characters last night. Still on Blightweasel but this time as Guardians. I shall look into sorting a guild at some point.

Surprised to see they allow cross faction guilds, quite nice really. Been able to group with them for a while now. Only practical differences are travel plans, home city and PvP.
I've stuck a load of crafting mats in the bank, a lot of metal bars and ores and some leathers, take what you need or else sell it. I'm working on putting a load of bags in there, I've just learned how to make lanzan bags which are 24 slot so I will be making a load of them whenever I can.

EDIT
I take it back, I'll make the lanzan bags if you can get me the lanzan cloth, at current rates it might be cheaper to get the bag on the AH.
One lanzan bag:

28 Lanzan cloth - anwhere from 25-35P
10 Dense Leather - 60g
6 strong thread - 2P60g

Bag on the AH - 20Pish

I think a lot of folks are taking advantage of players levelling up a fourth profession and new players. AH should come back down to earth in a few weeks.

And if you are using the Rift app to get free shinies or mats or whatever - use the menu key to pull up the option to log off (on android)

I've thrown some dye into the guild bank, some light blue and some magenta, for some reason nobody wants the magenta. Try it out and if it is fabulous enough I will make more, I have a shit ton of the mats required.
Also I am now at 360/500P for the Waaugh.

EDIT
Done it, we have a Stone Flask Tavern if anyone wants to go pimp it. Thanks PNut for the extra cash you put in the bank.
