Im bored and work is slow, so have a crappy, not to scale Paint map of your current location:

Re: Eclipse Phase: Terminal Velocity
I was planning on fleeing towards the lift. Which is convenient, because departures also seems to be the nearest escape route. I'm counting on the fact that in a few seconds the military dudes are going to be distracted by the rush of people trying to escape the killer robots.

Ok, im going to assume you are all hightailing it out of there with Edgar. As you start to leg it one of the military types fires on you, but I wont make you roll to dodge as his shooty skills failed him rather badly.
Through the door you first come to what would normally be a security station. Theres a desk for the security staff and a large frame, like double door but several feet thick that looks like a security scanner. Theres no one manning it though. Lying on the floor are the ropes and poles of what would have been the little zig-zag queueing area. It looks like its all been either pushed over or just out of the way.
Past the security station the wide corridor sweeps up and slightly to your right. The right hand wall has a big mural depicting the earth as viewed from space (presumably the view from the top of the elevator), and the left has wide windows showing the view. Its pretty good, from this height you can see quite far out across the national park.
Up at the top end of the corridor you can see it opens up into the embarcation room.Theres two people up there, one supporting the other.

As in helping walk. They have their arm around them and are kind of propping them up, like you would an injured (or drunk) person. You cant see any obvious injuries from here though.Dog Pants wrote:Supporting as in helping an injured person?

Keep running. We'll have more trouble than injuries if the robots catch us.

Re: Eclipse Phase: Terminal Velocity
Sorry about the pause, I stopped so I could look something up and then every time I picked the rule book up I got distracted by some other bit. I've now gone cover to cover and...still havent found the information I was looking for. So im going to wing it.
As you get up level with the couple, you can see that the one being helped is a heavily pregnant woman, and the one helping is an older looking guy. He looks early fifties, but from his clothing he seems quite well off, so its probably just an affectation. Rich people are often kind of wierd when it comes to morphs.
He looks up at you when you get to him.

The mesh is now massively on the fritz, or you would be able to instantly look up who this guy is. You can make a corp networking roll to see if you have heard of him before if you want.Thank you young man. My name is Zbrny, Kristof Zbrny.
You help him the last few feet into the embarcation room. One of the elevator pods is there; its one of the small ones, about the size of an upended double decker bus, but slightly wider and rounded. It has two floors, the bottom floor you can see has a wide circle of inwards facing comfortable chairs, and in the centre there is a spiral staircase going up to the second floor. The second floor has some outwards facing chairs in the middle, around the top of the staircase. Theres windows all around the bottom floor apart from the front where the doors are and the rear where the mechanism that connects it to the elevator line is. The top floor is a big glass dome, giving a 360 view. Theres seating to comfortably take more than a dozen people, and you could probably fit three times that many in without it being too much of a squeeze.
Zbrny glances at the door and it glides open.

So....this has had quite the pause
Shall I just do a "skip to the end" summary to get things finished off? You are basically at the end anyway, it would be good to get some closure. We could play out the last bit if you want, but I'll understand if everyone has utterly forgotten whats going on
