I'm already looking into it, seems that it is under some external load, CPU usage shot up to 120% at one point

Update - Looks like ldn24 (which is where our server is housed) appears to be having a shit, attempted a restart and now I can't do anything, I've downloaded the latest backup (done at 1100 today) so the world is safe. I'll see what MP have to say about it

You wouldn't say that if you'd worked with him.

Seems that Multiplay were having issues with a bad batch of SSDs that affected our host and the one next to it (Im assuming they are blades in the same chassis but it makes no difference) these have been replaced now and alls well.
On a sidenote I should say that the response from MP has been fantastic, replied to my ticket and forum post quickly and the issue was fixed pretty quickly too

Huzzah!

In other news, 1.2 should be out later today, if it isn't already, but Jeb's holding back on updating the framework library. The latest version might improve performance quite a bit, so it's worth trying to update it for yourself if you're comfortable doing so. http://lwjgl.org

It would be nice if the Minecraft update made a backup of the previous minecraft.jar file.

Im updating the server now, need to convert the world so watch this space for fucked up error messages and hair tearings

Later... no issues, world is up, seems to be OK (step away from the water Fab) but no addons are working yet, which means that death chest isn't working and bendermen can grief buildings again. New option for the height of the map appeard in the settings, height is 256 - this is default, if you want it higher let me know.

Oh wow, suddenly having twice the height to work with opens up all kinds of possibilities. Not for Orhedge though.

Wasn't the height one of the things that threw out Minestirith (or however it's spelt)? If so, that could be on the agenda in the future :)

Think I read that ground level is still 64 above bedrock, whatever the map height, so this change doesn't really help with underground things.
