I know my BIOS reset the priority of the GPU slot to use, set it to use clockwork or some other outdated thing after I flashed it.
Also had massive problems with the hdds not being recognised as Satan 2 so it was taking ages to do anything.

So a little update of sorts
I tried yanking three sticks of RAM out, leaving just 1x2GB in.
Tried booting up EQ2. The only way I can get up to 6fps is by having everything on lowest settings possible and even then it still lags like a bitch.
However, I don't think it's my graphics card because, like I said, CoD4 runs flawlessly.

Who wants to sacrifice a goat to appease my PC?

I've heard that spinrite can sort out machine oddities (even with software and the like). Not free but can be swept pretty easily I would think

I wanted to be that dick who doesn't say how his PC was fixed and leave everything as a cliffhanger

A few days ago my PC shut off on its own accord. Then, when I rebooted it, it shut off after booting to POST.
Then, it shut off as it was turning on.

I scraped the paste off my CPU/H70, re-applied some new paste and presto-chango! Everything works a treat.

Fucking computers, man.
