Frankly, it seems to be happening since the MC master server shat itself yesterday. At 7-8 pm-ish it got awfully laggy, I had a ping of 10 seconds or so on the server and it kept timing me out.
EDIT: It's been over an hour, still timing out.

It appears that my withdrawal symptoms are beginning to manifest.

I just tested and couldn't connect either. Restarted yet again and I can now connect.

I have an idea. I stole an idea.
I was watching
this , and think it'd work beautifully in 5punk hands. You could combine people's beardy ways with 5pudcast shenanigans. I'd watch that.
It'd require an extensive world built, along with a guided story, mix in some not-the-know people and there you go.

I love their videos. Maybe a little ambitious but if people want me to do stuff with the server, I can do: backups, temporary new worlds, etc.

I'm still watching the original series, where old peculiar's introduced, I'll get on to the one eventually :D
I like the idea of stocking a store up with stone, wooden and diamond swords to be traded in return for pigmeats and dyed wool.
I guess the people acting as NPCs would have to have bullshit travel powers to get around the place though.

Server's acting up again, a restart would be most appreciated.

Restarted and disabled authentication with the main MC server for now. Please try to avoid blowing up the world.

I logged in from my laptop and found myself in the same place but without all my stuff. Is it because I'm on a different computer?
Actually, I have no idea where I am. Did we have a server reset?
...Hahaha shit, I apparently mistyped the port and ended up on some other server.

There's a support message that the Minecraft auth server is struggling again. I can disable another validation setting to get around this. I'll check it out soon.

Can people try the server again. I've not changed any settings, but the server seemed to have died with a Java error.

Unfortunately this is out of my control. I'll let our server host know and see if they can do anything.
