Hello, ive decided make a small map based on the British TV show 'Allo Allo' - Unfortunately this will mean nothing to a few of you whippersnappers, but basically it was a sitcom set in a small french village during World War 2 - "with hilarious consequences!!!!"

Battle through Caf? R?n?. Defend the Radio hidden under the old womans bed. Break into the Germans palatial headquaters. Steal 'The Fallen Madonna with the big boobies'. Drive around in Grubers 'Little Tank.' Visit 'Le clerc' the undertaker as he plans the escape of the British Airmen. Run thorugh the woods with the Ladies of the French RRRRRestistance.

All of this, as a gunfight rages in the Town Square outside...

The people i play with are now treating me with a mixure of amusement and contempt over this!! :)

heres a few early shots of Rene's Cafe... (minus the textures)

It is my intention to include all the key locations from the show, and try to make them look as close to the original as possible (but not at the expense of gameplay)

Im a still a little uncertain as to the correct layout of the cafe - there is a door behind the bar which leads into a back room, but judging by the screen grabs ive seen - theres also a door to the left of the bar - but I dont know if it ever led anywhere.
Unfortunately i might have to bite the bullet and buy a copy of the allo allo DVD!!!

Theres going to be a square outside - im planning to stick 'grubers little tank', a couple of cars, a bench, fountain etc etc in there - but I dont want to make it 'too big/open'

The other locations i want are the German HQ (with Herr Flicks(?) dungeon below, and a Police Station.

Im going to make the map in a pretty organic way, and slowly add different parts as i start getting the hang of things.

Didn't the door on the left go upstairs?
I'm not sure, it was a long time ago. It looks ace already though!

Thats what i thought at first, but having looked at a load of screen shots, im pretty sure the stairs are in the correct place on the map. Im going to leave the mystery door for the time being - although i could use it as a route into the back room, or down into a celler/secret tunnel:)

Oh this will be ace! Cant wait to play in grubbers "little tank" aha cracks me up every time I watch it.
I used to sit there and watch all the oldies with my dad. He was in the army for most of his life and used to watch it when it came out. It came out when he was stationed in Germany and when it was shown over there he said the Germans loved it, although the frence hated it.

I've tested it out mate, and I've found no way so far of "borking" the map.

It's looking really good, but now all you need to do si work out what else goes in the map :D

Well, im trying to keep it in the style of carentan, but it will have a 'village square' with houses round the edge. Im currently building the 'undertakers' and then im going to start on the German HQ, which will be quite grand.

The other thing i want (apart from various buildings round the square) is 'Herr Flick' dungeon - which will be under the German HQ. Then i want a few tunnels from that to various locations on the map.

Since the version i sent you ive made the skybox a lot bigger, and added pavements round the buildings.
Oh yes, and ive added Grubers 'little tank' - a halftrack in this instance :lol

I'll post some more piccys soon.........

Very nice! Although, I never understood the layout of the 'Allo 'Allo set - all very confusing. And Caf? Ren?, pah, what can I say, it's all in the name.
