That was out of date anyway. Updated now.

There are spare tools in my house, assuming it doesn't get trashed by monsters, it was a bit infested earlier, so I added doors.

Mr Johnson has that problem as well. It's the MCAdmin tool that's doing it so I may have to remove it again.

Jumped on last night and failed to achieve much apart from filling in a few gaps in the spawn protection building. I had normal difficulty on but wasn't taking any damage from the mobs and couldn't pick anything up that dropped. It's also really laggy.

So yeah, guess there's a lot of optimisation work to do before it's in a playable state.

Server updated and restarted again. Can people try again and let me know if there's any problems?

If you can't pick stuff up there's a fix for that. You'll need to store your inventory in a chest so I can delete your player file on the server, once you've logged off. When you login it's recreated and you'll have an empty inventory.

/edit
minecraft.net is down so no login. In the meantime ...

MCAdmin is a fail, it's now locking up every few minutes. So we're back to vanilla Minecraft server. This means we lose the ability to stop randoms joining, but at least they can't spawn anything, teleport, etc. Everyone on the list in tips and info are ops, so you can do those things. I'll go update the tips and info thread again.

Done

I've added a list of commands page to the website. Point your browser at the server address: mc.5punk.co.uk. Fear my web coding abilities.

So when do we go into no spawny-spawny hardcore survival mode?

I'd be more willing to play if people had to work as a team to find precious diamonds and clear out an underground cavern as a team - growing food underground and setting up workshops all together instead of building crazy castles with spawned tools.

That's how I've been playing all along, I've never spawned tools. Nothing wrong with a bit of crazy construction though my last tower isn't exactly what one might call inpenetrable.

This ^

The way the game is at the moment there's not a lot to guard against, so survival is pretty easy. Later once he impliments monster villages and sieges and stuff it'll be interesting. Not sure how it'd work when everyone was offline.
