Can't speak for Berk of Spakken, but I've not been on there for 2 days or so. The airbase should be crawling with hostile dudes for you to shoot, and if you can't find the enemy at the main target, look for the petrol station. They tend to run out of fuel and cause a massive AI breaking traffic jam which is glorious fun to bomb to smithereens.

I must be doing something wrong then. Can't see it. :(

without a felcher/remote input I can see '00s of servers, but nothing when I enter 217.112.95.67 with port 2302

If I have screwed up the mod attachment, would that affect it?

not really done this much before, I'm probably getting something very simple wrong (I am connected to the internet though :P )

....do I need to install ArmA 2 dedicated server from the tools section on steam??

It should just be working when you feed IP and port into the remote section.

Not sure why it wouldn't work, tukkake can ping your IP (the one you posted from last)

Only server issue is that it's not reporting to the master, easily fixed, but needs a server restart, which is a slight problem.

http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8531

Link for future reference (new island with Domination on it for a change of scenery perhaps).

Things to fettle possibly:

* Work out how the hell UAV's work (or get rid of them, not really needed)
* Put some LAV's in
* Reduce the intro zoom in annoying camera action
* Make some 5punky side missions**
* Any guns/mods/stuff you want added in

** Anyone else can have a go at these. Make a mini mission in the editor and we can play it. If it's fun(ny) I can integrate it into the main Domi map.

UAV: no real use for them current, not fussed.

LAV: LAV-AT Plox, go nicely with the landies for base defence and local assaults.

5punk side missions could be fun.

Weapons/mods/stuff I think are all good atm, I don't feel like anything's particularly missing now.

AI now has a nasty habit of modifying our F16s using RPGs. :x

To be fair I modified your face with my Cobra...in mid air...with rockets. It was an improvement on the original.

 it was an improvement, but I'm not sure the same applies to F16s

Right, as my addons were all kinds of fucked up anyway, I made a lovely rar full of the addons we use at the moment.

Downloady (77.4MB)

Extract into arma folder so you have

Code: Select all

\arma 2\@5punk\addons
and use

Code: Select all

-mod=@5punk
in launch options to make addons work.

Well, with this in use I'll just sit around picking my teeth with a knife because everything else will be made of person jam and explosion.

I'm *this* close to actually buying it, it does look like it's better with some community made stuff, and I guess I'll get used to the horrid amount of buttons to remember.
HOWEVER. When I played the demo it ran like utter crap on anything higher than the lowest settings, and it doesn't even look that pretty, have they fixed that yet, as I can't afford to upgrade right now, even though I should.

I can only take it in small doses unless my gun nerd wank froth is high. Or I'm utterly shitfaced and thus totally ineffectual. I personally don't think you'll enjoy it.

I've had a few hours at the single player today and I can't help thinking of those comedy bicycles that when you turn the handlebars one way, the front wheel turns in the opposite direction.

I tried to like it, I really did.
