You are seeing this page cause the website you tried to download a file from is hotlinking to our files. They are stealing our bandwidth, providing downloads without paying for the bandwidth themselves.
You should inform the webmaster to change his links to our download pages instead of hotlinking to our files.

Berk suggested we make a more RPG/RTS element to the mission, whereby you can build defences, fortifications and forward refuelling and arming points (FARPs)....so I dug back into the code and fettled a bit more. In the next version (now called Addons v.3) the Commander has a build interface similar to the Warfare game mode. It's not quite how I want it (you have unlimited cash at the moment which could end up being a bit silly), and I'm working on customising some of the bits so we can add NPC crewmen to the gun emplacements (and an Air Early Warning Radar, AI Spawn point, Teleport point and custom ammo crate). It's not tested on the dedicated server, so I'm not getting my hopes up yet. That tends to break things.

I thought that this little smoke and fire add on would be cool to use:

It sure is, the spreading fire is a nice touch too, I'm actually really annoyed I have to go away to socialise this weekend as I really want to shut myself in with the PC and jump back on the server and blow shit up (and die, lots).

Shiny. You should note that you need Community Based Addons framework for this to work. I've steered clear of adding anything that requires dependencies in our missions to keep things simple for new people joining. CBA is incidentally also required for playing on the old ArmA 1 island (Saharani), which has been ported over.

However, if it looks like the initial 5punky interest has waned to just the 3 of us playing regularly I can start to fettle more deeply into the code and add more interesting stuff.

Fire & Smoke addon is now running serverside and seems to be working ok. You don't need it to run the missions though.

Addons thoughts:

FAV - Really, really good idea, but crap, lose them and see below
Littlebirds - Not much use, don't seem to do much of use, less handy than hueys
Kiowa - A bit more useful than the LBs, have potential, keep them for now.

I would rather like something similar to how a FAV should be, fast and deadly, handy little assault vehicles for cleaning up, perhaps these with a gmg, basic supplies (few smaws, stingers and maybe an m4) and a medicing facility?

I'd also rather like a silenced sniper rifle, or at least something capable of 1000m+ shots with some degree of accuracy.

I'll make a test mission with a bunch of toys in it and sling it your way (or locally host it or something).

Played with the test mission now, thoughts;

Cheytac is good, pure sniper rifle, limited use, only thing you can carry. We'll have to see if it's OP in use.

Challenger, either way, tank's a tank.

Landrovers are nice, straight swap for fav I reckon. though could use gun textures.

New version fettled but not tested on the server yet. UAV's are officially a pain to get working properly, so that bit may or may not be horribly broken.

UKF Landrovers and Cheytac sniper rifle are in. You'll need UKF Misc and UKF Shared as well (I'll add links to the OP when I get around to it)

Littlebirds and FAVs are out.

Sweet, I'll give it a try tonight.

Do the enemy ever use gunships on this mission?

If by gunships you mean attack helicopters, then yes the KA-50 and Havoc regularly makes an appearance over hostile towns and screw up our day. Almost, but not quite as bad as the SU-35 which can shoot you down before you even see it.

:above: sometimes, if you're very, very lucky, you get chance to eject.
