More likely micro transactions for goodies, rather than subscription.

There was also a survey thing floating around by IW/Activision asking people if they'd be ok paying actual yearly subscriptions (they used the word themselves  ) for features such as the ability to manage teams (I guess vote-kicking?), manage leagues, "skill-matching" (I guess matchmaking that puts you with similar level/skilled players?), etc. It just amazes me what they've done/are trying to do.

That'll never happen, Activision will just steal the evilness crown away from them.

Although, I sense Activision may have a problem, EA is propped up by it's yearly sports games cash cows, I don't think Activision has that sort of backing.

Um, XYZ Hero.

A million games a year, basically free to develop.

Oh, and remember it isn't Activision any more, It's Activision Blizzard.

Blizzard is kinda well known for that game with a player base the size of a small country, all paying $10 a month.

You're thinking small. Libya: 6 million inhabitants, 17th largest country in the world. :P

I was thinking population wise, in which case it's top 80 easily.

I like cod 6, both in single player, and multiplayer.

there, i said it.

Any game which can give me MP5k Akimbo (or P90 akimbo if you're so inclined) can't be that bad.

I like it
If it wasn't in the C.O.D. series, it'd be widely acclaimed by 5punkers (possibly)
It has Baths
I'm sure someone will figure out dedicated servers, if thats all thats stopping you.

The single player made me think. Fuck the airport shooty-civvy level, i didnt play it. However, the way the light died, in the eyes of the bloke i've just abseiled upside down to knife in the chest stopped me (the bit where the helo goes down after the EMP made me think , but only "Oh fuck, not again!" typoe of thing)

I like cod 6, and i give it 8 reticulans out of 10!

Uh, well, yeah. Last I checked, WoW had over 10million subscribers. If Libya is 17th at 6 million, I think that safely makes WoW in the top 80 :P

I'd like to know how Libya is at 17th with 6 million, when the UK is at 22, with 61 million. :P

Granted, but as WoW's landmass is 0x0x0, I didn't feel it was worth going along that path.

And technically has a population of 0, as no one actually lives there...

Very well then, WoW is 73rd, between the Republic of Chad and the Republic of Zimbabwe.

I'm pretty sure there are people who practically live there. I know I did for the first week.

Surely the landmass would be whatever size the basement the servers live in? Still, that's a lot of libyans in a relatively small space
