They've removed everything that made the CoD series a great PC franchise, and replaced it with shitty console features to draw in a few retards and cash in on the success of other shitty games on another platforms, that don't work at all on PC.
You still get to shoot people with guns. Just saying that if you can ignore what the PC community, at large, perceive as bad changes it will probably still be an enjoyable game. I appreciate it's not easy to ignore and the lack of a server browser is a big and very bad change for whole communities, but it's looking like we either suck it or don't buy the game. And I know many have decided that already.Dr. kitteny berk wrote:How?

Personally I plan to buy it for the 360 just to play with a mate or two. They are retarded and even the matchmaking service can be a struggle.
You're approaching this from a completely different angle to the rest of us. Ie, from a console gamer's point of view. If I wanted to play a console game I'd be buying it on the 360 too. But I don't have a 360, because I don't like console shooters. Which seems to be the direction in which this is heading. Of course it might well be a decent enough game, but there's lots of decent games out there that don't cost £40 (which, lest we forget, is my original reason for not wanting the game) and alow me to easily play with friends.spoodie wrote: You still get to shoot people with guns. Its one saving grace may be co-op mode, but that's nowhere near enough to make me want to buy it at the moment. If the reviews come in and say the new 'server' system works really well, multiplayer isn't shit like COD4 was, and it's actually a brilliant game, then I'll probably just go back to not buying it because it's £40 rather than because it's expensive and shit.
So am I, despite a little flowery language, but you like console shooters and so are of the opinion that what they're doing isn't a big problem. From the perspective of someone who plays PC shooters, even one who is trying to be impartial, I still see a high chance of me not liking this game.spoodie wrote: I'm aiming for impartial. I have no loyalty to either PC or console and I'm trying to put across an alternative view.
If you were a rugby fan, and someone proposed changes to make the ball round and let you kick it about, you'd think it was a very bad thing. A football fan might not see what the problem is. Doesn't mean you should start liking football instead of rugby.
Of course you're entitled to express your opinion, and I'm glad you are because it's good to have an alternative viewpoint on a subject where people get emotional, but just because people are angry about something doesn't make them ill informed. At least not all the time.

I think what annoys me the most is the blatant disregard for the PC player. They might as well have packaged the thing as MW2: We Fucking Love Consoles.
As said by others, I'm not expressly saying that console shooters are a bad thing (although I personally dislike them and find them to be dumbed down, as far as you can dumb donw something that involves shooting people), but this game now seems exclusively designed for the causal console gamer.
In fact scratch the "casual gamer" comment, as that only fuels their belief that all PC gamers are hardcore cyber hackers on steroids. Cunts.
