I can't get mine to recognise my CD Key - apparently it's invalid. I've sent EA an email demanding that they stop being twats, but haven't heard back yet.

I don't recall actually entering any code they supplied. Just got it through my EA profile (and had to make another one) and started playing after install.

Nope, it turned into a Windows Live account - it's still @hotmail and still has a short password that they don't allow anymore.

That the bike ones?

You get 2 more bikes from owning all the day and all the night ones. Wish we could use bikes in online multiplay, they're rather fun.

Yeah. Despite it being an online account you log in to, with details of your progress, Burnout will revert you to a learners licence if you ever have to reinstall it. Even if you do Backup and Restore via Steam.
It works on disc-based versions, apparently, but not digital. Hurrrrrr.

Looks like stuff lives in

Code: Select all

AppData\Local\Criterion Games\Burnout Paradise\Save
Anyone got a not entirely complete save I can rob? :)

Fuck yes! Restored.
Assuming saves aren't tied to accounts to stop sharing, mine's 89%.

edit: No showtimes completed, most stunt runs untouched. All but one Burning Route done, all races, most Rode Rage and Running Mans (Mans?).

They don't appear to be, I found one elsewhere, but 100% complete is no fun.

I had some fun with my Batman saves. I backed up everything but I still had to persuade it by playing from the start to the first save point and then moving things around. 70% through the game and all. :whew:

You have to get the best crashes on each road too to win things I think.

Fucksocks. Forgot to back this up, then formatted half my drives. Who saves stuff in your local app data anyway?
