Yup, they look most tasty, and as my raptors have been struggling for some times (I constantly run at like 15gb free) well. how could I resist? :)

The F1's haven't dropped much anywhere, but I expect that'll change soon.

I've got 1.something TB spare now I've dropped another new drive in, but I think I'll have to get one of these as that'll fill up soon enough.

How did your experiments into imaging go?

I'm not sure how possible it'll be for me to plug another 2 drives in at the same time, the lights dip when I boot as it is :P

edit: another thought, did you say the Fista clone disk function worked well?

Also, the link they've got up there to overclock is the cheapest I've seen the F3, ocuk, ebuyer and scan are all a few quid more. Plus ocuk have changed their shipping again and it's not cheap so they're a bunch of cunts.

I ococked mine, they're reliable and I trust them, even if it does cost a bit more.

As I've copied a rather idiosyncratic and bloated old xp install thaty I'm fond of it's all cranky and weird. But acronis has handily changed the drive letters and such, I'm ironing out a few niggles like short system hangs after videos closing and the 'what the shit!' problem which is actually a hdd thing I've discovered but generally I'm pretty chuffed with how painless it was.

I've not done anything with fista because I never use my install as it annoys me so much. I've tried a bit of registry merging with it and the win 7 beta, that actually worked quite well.

Register on their forums. After 90 days and 250 posts, shipping is free :)

Just don't post anything too nasty; you are bound to break one of the many, many "family friendly" rules.

I'd rather just order from ebuyer. I actually trust them more given I've had less problems and more success with phone calls to ebuyer than ocuk.

They are a lot better now Spie has handed over the running to someone who isn't a massive cupcake. I still hear horror stories, mind.

Dabs are my weapon of choice, because Scan are cunts and ebuyer shitlisted the Uni and won't sell to us any more!

It's still fast and a great storage drive. You've lost nothing really as you can buy an F3 in a bit.

:)

Just used the trial of acronis true image to clone my raptors to my 500GB drive, then the 500GB to the F3s, took a while, but reasonably painless.

I've never looked at drive letters as emoticons before, but I fear I'll see nothing else now.

Stuff looks so unhappy and MoreStorage has a cleft palate.

Also, I did not realise how loud raptors are, machine's considerably quieter now.
