I was indeed. Beginning to get into this game now. 8)

I am finding that a lot of the quests need a higher skill than I have in things, which is kinda annoying, I don't like to leave quests unfinished. Mild OCD i think.

Just come back to them in a bit, once you've leveled a few times. It really won't take long.

If you're a pack rat like I am, you'll definitely want to take the Strong Back perk when you can. The extra 50 pounds of stuff can be really handy. My level 20 guy can carry 290 pounds of stuff.

Just drink the water near the bomb, you'll get 600 rad in under a minute easily.
I used the toilet inside the inn. Gives 24 rad (I think) per drink.

I used that toilet just before you started drinking out of it.

Ahh I ended up going for a wander, drinking here and there and getting raped by those blue things at the nuka-cola plant. It seems if i go to the surrounding towns bar springvale (at least thats what i think it's called) someone tears me a new asshole. I'm only lvl 4!

Potentially you're at a disadvantage if you haven't played Oblivion, as there's significant cross-over. Outside these games I don't think I've come across the term "over encumbered".

All the other Fallout games did it. So did Stalker, although I don't know if they called it the same thing.

Well you definitely have some radiation issues, you might want to get yourself checked.

Yeah, I'd just done the 600 rads quest. I'm okay now.

Rivet City is cool. Annoyingly the kids on deck were impervious to my minigun

I stumbled upon
Spoiler:
Vault 106 I think
and liked how
Spoiler:
everyone had gone absolutely batshit insane so I killed everyone and briefly wondered how I was fighting guys from Vault 101 when I realised that it was the hallucinations and it wasn't really them. I also battered someone and realised after i'd started fighting him that he was a regular survivor rather than a crazy one so I could maybe talk to him if I reloaded the game :)

Also in Megaton
Spoiler:
I wanted to get the ex-bandit on my team but I wasn't bad enough for him, even though i'd tried to be a cupcake I was accidentally nice to get stuff and couldn't get my karma low. This was fixed once I detonated Megaton though... unfortunately I suspect he was still there. Ho hum, live and learn!

I didn't get what I was supposed to do in there, everyone just attacked me and dogshit - who I'd just got and who kept getting stuck in doors and behind stuff, the ghosty bits were a bit creepy, but I wasn't sure what they were supposed to be of. In the end all I found were
Spoiler:
some doors I couldn't open and a bobblehead.

I had the same result as Jack. Attacked some bloke who
Spoiler:
went invisible, possibly had a stealth boy
, but other than that I was just left perplexed.

Same,
Spoiler:
I just figured vaults were all the same, go in see how the experiment affected people, and get your one item.

(late game hint about said companion location)
Spoiler:
