am i the only one who uses the arrow keys? i like it because they are easy to find, as in fps you usualy want to be looking at the screen not trying to find WASD. i always have ctrl- duck, shift-run/walk, enter- use, end- prone, 0-reload and 1 anything i can think of. there are pleanty of keys to use around the arrow keys and with my keyboard the delete end page down keys are touching them making it sweeter :D

i would use the arrows if they were on the other side of the keyboard cos i find that its all a bit squashed together cos the mouse is too close to them keys

I've been two-finger typing since I was 12, and one-finger typing before then. - these days I actually use four fingers or so, but still have to look. In 5th year at school we had "word processing" and "typing" lessons but the teacher told me not to bother learning to touch-type as my speed with my existing method would piss all over the exam for the course.
So I just sat there while eveyone else was doing HHHHGGGG and stuff and as predicted, easily passed the exam at the end of year. On a side note, I was very drunk at the time.

i use 2 fingers and can type with some dam nifty speed. i used to look until the speed i was going started to make my eyes hurt trying to keep up with them, so i thought i would try touch typing for laugh and within about 10 words i was typing faster than i ever had before. i suppose i had subconciously tought myself the layout without realising it

as everyone i know uses somehting differnt

up, down, left, right - move
ctrl - duck

return - use
end - reload
pg down - drop weapon
delete - spray or other misc action
numpad0 - misc functions
and numpad enter - spawn menu in BF
