I've got a message from the King! And I haven't even started playing. He's awarded me another in-game item, a Clan of Conan Drinking Cape.
As a sign of gratitude for your aid, we are pleased to offer you the in-game item used by those loyal to King Conan: The Drinking Cape. This item will allow your characters (one game account only) to free of charge demand the very sought after alcholic drink of "Ambrosia" - free and in unlimited supplies for life! After having claimed your cape, merely find one of the kegs in the finer Inns of Hyboria and click it whilst wearing your cape to receive your drink.

This was the thing from the link Ty posted isn't it? I wonder if they'd stopped offering it by the time we tried.

Yay, One collectors edition is on its way, £10 cheaper than the current sales price thanks to a very cheeky pre-order many months ago... See you bummers soon :D

Also had to send an email to Virgin telling em to make AoC high priority because currently i keep getting nice juicy lag spikes

I've got mine too, I recommend installing it and patching it today, unless you downloaded it, as its done a few smaller patches and doing a 600mb one now.

I ended up ripping the dvds to iso using imgburn, then using the isos to install.

I think it only took 30 minutes to install that way. :faint:

Didn't seem to take all that long to install to me. Mind you, I was playing Warcraft while it was doing it's thing (and I levelled in the time).

Patching has taken two hours though.

Ooh, I'm liking Colon. The combat seems to work really well, making you feel involved without being over-complicated. Despite myself I quite like the iron age setting too. Here's hoping it stays as good ('cos I'm only level 5 at the moment).
