Apparently the Early Access is limited, ie. even if you get a code you have to be quick to register it as there's only a limited number of available slots.

My credit card was actually in credit, so I used 22.49 of it on this. How do these pre order mount reward thingies work though?

Good question. The email with the serial code says to create an account using it, but I only got a message saying the code was invalid.

You should get a code you can add to your retail key. Although if you only just ordered it you may be too late, it needed to be before 20th.

Also I think the theory was that pre-order people get a code for early access (which seems to have a limited number of slots and all used), when they get the retail copy they upgrade their account with this code and this unlocks the pre-order items as well. I guess if you don't get into the early access in time you can put in both codes at release and get the items.

Something to bear in mind which didn't occur to me; I don't think you can use the pre-order mount until you get to lvl 40 anyway.

Doggers, when did you order? I never got an email about early access and I think I ordered before you damnit!

It was full up reet quick and most people whined about not getting EA and that funcom should shut the closed beta that was in final testing so more people could spawn camp each other earlier, fucking idiots.

the pre-order mounts etc arrive in the case I think and let you add a code to your account for extra inventory and a big scary animal to ride at lvl 40.

I ordered it on saturday or sunday. I'm not bothered about being able to play early, I'm only really bothered about my mount so if I can upgrade my account with it I'm happy.

I have ordered some Gonad also, as I cannot order from Play at work (stupid internet nazis) I have gone through Game and should have a big cuddly mammoth awaiting me. I will not be playing until I get the CD as my internets are bloody shite and not good for downloading

Ah I see. I was concerned that all youse would be at lvl 1 with furry mammoth balls, and I'd be stuck behind, trying to mount you all. Either way, I look forward to playing with you lovely fuckers again.

New email from Play.com wrote:Your Correct Age of Conan - Your Unique Bonus Code
It worked and now all I have to do is download 13GB of client.

If you can't find the downloader on the official pages it's here: http://funcom.cachefly.net/AoC-EU-EarlyAccess.exe
(I couldn't see it)

This is a P2P app so I'm trying my luck on usenet and hoping it doesn't come with any nasty surprises.

I probably won't be able to play until Tuesday now anyway which is irritating, so early access probably isn't worth trying. Especially for a 13gb client and a 2meg connection.

Early access doesn't appeal to me either really. Plus Game have emailed me saying my order is 'currently being processed', so all is well - may possibly come early.

I've had two "being processed" emails from Game, but no keys or serial numbers.

Sucks you need to be L40 to use the pre-order item, I'd have probably gone with the Amazonian Bow if I'd known that, as I'd be more likely to get use out it. Presumably you can choose between a range of mounts at L40 anyway, and I can't see a mammoth or rhino coming top of any list that likely has a horse in it.

A kodo is like a rhino isn't it? I want a big lizard. Preferably one that can climb walls.
