I now have a proper hardbacked copy of the rule book! No more slumming it in pdf land for me!

until I want something out of Karma, of course.

Is it nice and shiny? I might get one too, then again I might wait for version 2 (although I'm led to believe it's going to be D20 based, and therefore evil).

Aye, I've seen pictures of it. Screw it, I doubt it's that expensive and a paper copy will be a great help. I never planned on getting V2 anyway.

Dammit, bought karma too. I'll get Mort and CS1 next month. It's probably a worthwhile investment - I've been playing (well, running) SLA for about 10 years, I reckon I'll carry on doing so forever now while there's people to play it. The Sla By Internet experiment seems to have worked well too.

I drew this yesterday but can't decide if I like it or not. I'm finding it difficult to be objective, so I'll ask you chaps for some constructive criticism instead. I'm a bit of a snob - I hate bad artwork, but the only way I'll improve mine is by drawing stuff and learning from it.

I enjoy this. :likesitall:

I'm not an expert on drawing human bodies anyway, there are probably all sort of bone and ligament issues with it, but I can see what's going on, and what they're wearing, and that's good enough for me.

Need to draw the squad now..

Top notch sir! Although that does look like a wounded/dying/dead Ebon on the floor to me.

I hope you're not prognosticating here...

Woo! I have purchased my Scout Helmet finally! It's all nice and shiny, along with having:

Motion & Enviro Scanners, a Nava-Map, Audio Enhancements, and an AV Stalk. Much win!

Shiny new character sheet goteim!

New features include:-

Areas for tracking:
  • stress
    finance
    costs of living
    drug usage and addiction
Dynamically updating:
  • hit points
    actions
    damage bonus
    movement rate
    encumbrance
http://www.5punk.co.uk/b3ta/Pants/SLA%2 ... sheets.xls

If people wouldn't mind making sure their character sheets are up to date (preferably with the new version, but I realise that might be a pain) and send me a copy that would be lovely.

EDIT: Now takes into account STR and DEX bonuses from armour - adds to encumbrance, damage bonus and actions, but not PHYS (and by extension hits). Removed password from sheet protection to allow user editing.

Well, unless Tezz is interested in these items, I shall just return them to SLA. No point in me keeping them.

Check the Wiki for the rules I wrote the other day on refund/returns and private sale.Things that say GM's discretion may mean I got bored and will write more about them later.

Also, Joose asked if we can use the martial arts/unarmed combat rules from the Contract Directory sourcebook. Having read them, I can't see a problem with this, although I'll put a prerequisite of the punch or kick skill before people take anything fancy (otherwise there's no reason to have them).

heh, well fuck selling it to my squad mates then, I'll just take the 60% value on them. I'd have to sell them at new or higher prices for it to be worth my time. That'd get me 44c back then, right? I'd like to buy a recorder with 4 dataslugs and a chippy to hook up to my helmet's AV stalk for recording purposes, which should cost 15c.

I looked at the armor upgrading section of your hardware PDF dog pants, and good god it's not worth upgrading my blocker body armor at all. For the cost to upgrade to PV 8, I can buy a PP8 Exo and another Blocker.

Also, I've returned the Motion & Enviro Scanners as well as the UV goggles. With that money, I bought the recorder thing, 4 dataslugs, the chippy lead to connect to my helmet, and Nava-map dataslugs for Suburbia, Uptown, Upper & Lower Downtown and Cannibal Sector 1. My credits are now at 22c.

could you send me the new character sheet too?

Well upgrading Blocker is like souping up a Punto. The customisation becomes more cost effective the more expensive the armour is.
