I dunno what it is but I've been enjoying COD4 far more then TEEF recently. Teef is good but I get bored of it quickly for some reason.

Perhaps it is lack of maps.

I play during the day most often, which is still early afternoon for all you gents. My evenings usually have "goings on" or I'm playing with people I know on this side of the pond.

I know that site but there seems to be resistance to non-official maps. I really like cp_toy_fort for starters.

Can we try?

There's also a couple of custom maps I've been meaning to ask to be added (Habbo, habbo, habbo, habbo :P ), but their names escape me right now.

EDIT: Here's another other, but the third I can't find at all. Ah well

That would be Slinger mainly. Bumhugging him a few times might help.

And most have no point and often contain glitches.

I think the problem with us and TEEF is that we just don't have enough active players to keep the teams mixed up enough. On the servers I play on there's at least 75-80 people trying to play on 2-3 servers, so you'll be playing with mostly random teams, most of the time. The dynamics of different people playing together keeps the game more fresh in my opinion.

7:30 to er..about 9:15 tonight.

The new CTF Well is a better map (nice way up to the second floor right at front inside the base) but went on a bit too long.

Nice to see a few cheeky sentries built in the opposing base - which was my favourite thing in the original Well, but a few (mostly randoms) seemed to be going for the capture points still.

It was the usual sentry gun standoff, but there was some good spying going on, as well as a decent sniper who actually did what snipers are supposed to do and discouraged the other team from launching an attack.

When Valve's maps are fun and nice to look at, why the hell would I play some shitty map that is poorly thought out and has the most basic texturing? Call me spoiled, but I'll take 15 rounds of 2fort over a good 80% of the custom maps I've seen. The one that Hehulk linked earlier looks worth a try, but most just scream "This map was made by a 15 year old in an hour."

The convey one isn't that good, it's too open which doesn't seem to work too well in Teef.

Playtesting is usually the key, so I'd look for maps recommended by other communities - particularly those with a TF2 focus.

Most seem recycled versions of maps from previous versions of TF or other gametypes - they just don't work: for one thing the range on sentries is tiny compared to what it used to be.

You have me confused with someone else. I like custom maps, I loved lazytown and turbine when they were on the rotation (though both tended to get boring much quicker than the official maps) and I like the look of toy_fort (I downloaded it a while ago but still havent tried it out yet). I've also tried a bunch of random custom maps, but most of them are terribly shit.
