Can we include ideas for presents in this thread too? I've reached an age/financial state where I typically spend more on others than I receive in gifts - that's perfectly fine in my view, it's just ideas of what to get people that causes me trouble.
Feel free to add more, but what might one get for a:
- 2.5-year-old Thomas the Tank Engine/In The Night Garden/Roary the Race Car fan
- a young Mum (and sister) with a PSP but no time
- a car-mad brother-in-law who likes the odd bit of plug in and play PC kit
- a "Gadget-Man" father
- a Mum who likes nature programmes and Australian soap operas
In truth, I have solutions for three of these (Roary car+DVD for nephew, VFX FSX Scenery for Pa, and Michael Palin Book+DVD for Ma) but the other two elude me.

Unfortunately RL precludes any virtual racing timeslots. I guess when you build the engine for and race thisDr. kitteny berk wrote:Shirley a racing game of some kind and/or steering wheel?
maybe GTR2 or RACE, if memory serves.

for reals, games seem a bit poo.
In any case, current gaming tech is a PS2 - for which he has every driving game evar, plus a couple of laptops, was thinking more random handy gadgets, possibly PC-connected. Recent successes have been big memory sticks, a Bluetooth stick and a computer photo-frame thingy.

4 Wii Games for me, all though worryingly only 1 has been dispatched so far from powerplaydirect.com
Metroid Prime 3
Super Mario Galaxy
Medal Of Honour : Heroes 2
Resident Evil : Umbrella Chronicles
Hopefully be getting the Wii Zapper as well for shooty shooty bang bang fun.
My gaming is mostly taken up by the Wii these days, and about twice a week with TF2 on the PC
