Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

On Friday I decided to make a new sneaky wood elf rather than a hack'n'slash Redguard, and I'm really enjoying it so far. However, I decided to go to Riften to join the Thieve's Guild, and I swear it took me about 5 hours to get there. I have a massive inability to stay focused on any one task in th...

Re: Spec me a possible new graphics card, bitches!

Not to worry, it lived long enough for Mrs Lat to sort out all her job hunting stuff, so was still much appreciated.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I love this game. Think I've reached the lofty heights of level 10 with my Redguard warrior/mage/archer, but I really need to pick a specialism of some kind as I will currently end up being ok at most things and great at none. Maybe my next character should be a sneaky thieving assassin, followed by...

Re: Spec me a possible new graphics card, bitches!

Well, bitches, rather than start a new thread I thought I'd tag on the end of this my request for some help. My original 8800 died a few weeks ago, and now the replacement 8800gtx kindly donated by Pete has given up too. Therefore I'm now in the market for a new card, but not really playing any game...

Re: Phone Upgrade

It took me quite a while to get properly used to my Desire S, but the more I use it the more I like it. The main issue was that it was my first capacitive touch-screen, but typing is now pretty quick for me.

Just had the upgrade to Android 2.3.5 and Sense 3.0 last week and now I like it even more.

Re: Refurbished phones

My old Nokia 5800 was a refurb model. The phone itself was completely fine, but it didn't have the full set of accessories as a new one - missed the TV out cable and spare stylus off the top of my head, so probably worth checking stuff like that before committing. However, it was significantly cheap...

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I'm torn between getting this on the PC or the Xbox. On the Xbox I know it'll work fine and look great, whereas on the PC I run the risk of it looking rubbish, but it then has the keyboard/mouse controls and all the customisable stuff for the future. Think I too might sweep it first to see how well ...

Spec me an external hard drive, bitches!

Given the amount of stuff I now appear to have on my PC, and the fact that I want to be able to (physically) move it around, I have need of an external hard drive. However I have no idea if there's anything in particular to be aware of, brands to avoid etc, so thought I'd ask you lot. Looking for be...

Cheers FJ, I always value a 5punker's opinion far more than other random sites. Guess I'll just wait and see if anyone responds to a couple of ads I've posted then.

GT5 is top of the list, but also Heavy Rain and LittleBigPlanet 2. However, as two of my good mates who have now moved away each have PS3s, the ability to play Fifa with them is also quite a lure. I think that most of the other games I play, such as Rockstar stuff and Guitar hero, are cross-platform.

PS3 gathering dust?

Right, I know this is quite a long shot, but does anyone happen to have a PS3 gathering dust that they might want to swap so that they can have a 360 gathering dust instead? I'm a bit bored of my xbox now and all the games that are currently tickling my fancy are PS3 only. I have a few games plus gu...

I was just looking at this last night as I'm due an upgrade in a month, and am sorely tempted to see if I can wangle a HTC Sensation. However, if I can't get it for free on a contract costing £30/month or less, I'm going to get a Desire S instead.

AV pretty much means that the most popular party is not going to win (unless they already have the majority). The other parties policies are lumped together when the votes are counted, and you end up with a mixture that nobody wants. Lib dems will be in with the rest, and dictate the policies coali...

I'm voting yes to AV. This is partly because I agree with the principle that just because my first choice candidate might not get in, I still want to have my views taken into account somehow. However, as is often the case, my choice is also swayed by the people who line up to support each of the opt...

Thanks very much for the invite, but unfortunately I am heading to Milton Keynes that weekend to see the Foo Fighters. I hope you have a great day though, and that you enjoy every minute of it!

I was vaguely considering seeing this, despite the fact it's not the type of film to which I'm naturally drawn, but now I will give it a wide berth. Ta!
