ImageAny Australians with fingers crossed and knickers twisted in hope of a PS3 price cut, I'm sorry. Really. You're not getting one. Australia is instead getting the same bundle deal as Europe, and it'll retail for AUD$999, same price as the 60GB is now. Which is a bit of a shame. AUD$999 (in other words a grand) is a big psychological barrier for consumers; would have been nice to see Sony try and get as far away from it as possible. Ah well. Guess there's always Christmas!

That's £430, $870 or ¥106,000.

Poor fuckers get shat on worse than Europe, they're nearest to Japan and have only one language, yet pay more and wait longest.

IIRC Canada used to suffer the same sort of thing back in the MegaDrive days, but you can grab one for £250 there.
