Uwe Boll Says: Postal Is "One of the Best" Films. Ever.

Post by News Reader »

Image Uwe Boll Says: Postal Is "One of the Best" Films. Ever.
Image Citizen Kane. Vertigo. 8 1/2. Postal? According to "filmmaker" and chowderhead Uwe Boll, who says his film got a standing ovation at the prestigeous Cannes Film Festival and "no other film has ever been applauded there since it's all business people who attend the screenings." No other film has ever been given a standing ovation at Cannes? Bwah?

What's more, Boll says:

Postal is my final statement. You can't make a more radical movie... There is no way you can ignore Postal — it's one of the funniest and most important films of the last decade! ...It's one of the best films of all time!
If by "final statement" he means "final film," all is good!

Does that man ever stop spouting shit? He's live the living embodiment of a Youtube post. I really hope he has made a good film, but I'll not be holding my breath.

"Uwe Boll" and "good film" hasn't and probably will never be in the same sentence, unless accompanied by "failed to make" or something else along those lines. Think Bloodrayne etc etc...

Also, bloodrayne=win because of kristiana loken/termanotor chick and her boobies, but other than that, even madsen delivers a piss weak performance.

I kind of expected Mickey rourke to pop up, knowing some of the shit choices he's made. He apparently turned down the roles of Eliot Ness in The Untouchables, Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop, Jack Crawford in The Silence of the Lambs, Tom Cruise's role in Rain Man, Nick Nolte's part in 48 Hrs, Christopher Lambert's part in Highlander, Robin Williams' role in Dead Poet's Society and a part in Platoon. But he did make a soft porn movie called wild orchid in which his simulated sex scene is said to be the genuine thing, so thats ok.

Holy crap, how does he manage to remain famous making decisions like that? I hope for his sake he had a really shit agent who he fired before he got the role in Sin City.

You just need to look at the trailer to see how bad this film will be, the man is delusional.

Indeed. Wasn't he a professional boxer or something before he took to butchering films? In fact, how do such consistently poor directors keep getting work? I know I could do a better job myself (and would love to), and I know there's a 5punker (I forget who) who has made a short film that was very good and would be so much better employed.

Pfft, if I made a short film of me masturbating into a sock it would be better than uwe boll's hideous masterwerks!

As for the boxing thing, it popped up on the disco board a while back, he challenged some critics to a match, which I think are going to be shown in the postal film, or summat. He said it was just for fun, but was recorded saying he'd fuck them up, he said he'd supply all challengers with lessons and equipment so it would be safer, he didn't, he also pussied out of a fight with a critic who happened to be a big motherfucker who did amateur boxing, the man is a cupcake.
