I can confirm that this a) does indeed work and b) isn't worth the (minimal) effort required because the game really isn't very fun.

And another thing - I suspect that Razor1911 was able to beat Falling Leaf to it because their fix uses copied and hacked Fista components, rather than a more independent workaround.
