IGN's readers list the top 10 games of all time

And apparently gaming mostly sucked before 2004, as 7 of the top 10 games were released within the last year...
Where's that "Hey Hey 16k" video when I need it?

What the fuck is this all about then?

Never heard of it before?
And yes... people seem to have a very short memory.
What about the first time you played Mortal Kombat, or hammered round a track with your mates on Mario Kart?
Gaming in general, is very good at the moment, however for these games to be in the top ten, something is very, very wrong

God of war is an action/platform/adventure game. I haven't had the chance to play it myself, but my friends who have were completely blown away by it. I think I read somewhere that idea behind the game was some guy's lifelong idea and the game itself has been in development for quite some time. Or something.Woo Elephant Yeah wrote:What the fuck is this all about then?

I just find it hard to list a game as "greatest of all time" when it's only been out for a few months (if that!) I mean, being "greatest of all time" would mean that they are still great to pick up, even YEARS after their debut. I know it's hard to judge that on newer games, and the list should cover all games, but really, 6 of the 10 and new games, and apparently never touched an NES or older before in their life.
By the way, Mega Man 2 is one of the greatest games ever made
What's everyone's top lists? No need for a ranking, that's just too hard. What are your top games?
