there's always a live thread on BUM, and often here about what ships we can fly blah blah blah. Problem is it becomes a discussion so the data is diluted to the point of uselessness, just like the ship fittings threads were

This would be another good use for the Wiki EXCEPT thatt eh wiki is (by definition) open to all and putting our capapbilities on the open internets is just a silly idea. How about a Google sheet though? That way people could list and update their ship capabilities, infact, we could host a more secretive ship fit page there.

Or os this still a little too accessible, in the event that someone turned and copied the sheet off to pass to our enemies?

It's a good idea, although usually a pain to keep up to date. Come to think of it, the corp fleet ship thread might well serve the purpose...
