[BUM] New Operation Orders

Post by friznit »

We're staying in Providence for the moment, but free of POS warfare we're now going to do what we should have been doing all along: create mayhem. We've found an IAC low sec mission hub too, for those with a piratical bent :ahoy:

Full details on the alliance forum.

You will need the following ships in Nakah. Speak to Dres or in his absence Fear Not /Wiggy if you need ships building.

1. Spider Rep BS - corp insured and correctly fitted. Ask if you're unsure.
2. Interceptor, interdictor or tackling frig
3. Recon or covops. If you can't fly them you can get away with a tackler.
4. Also worth having one of either HAC, BC, non-cloaky recon and/or selection of cruisers for general pew pew.

We're off there this afternoon. If it convinces you to fly with us rather than some other random corp, come along!

Some useful info if we start doing low sec stuff:
-1.9 and above: you can enter all space freely
-2.4 and above: you can enter all but 1.0
-2.9 and above: you can enter all but 0.9 and above
-3.4 and above: you can enter all but 0.8 and above
-3.9 and above: you can enter all but 0.7 and above
-4.4 and above: you can enter all but 0.6 and above
-4.5 and below: you cannot enter secure space without being fired upon by the navy/concord
-0.5% loss per target for initiating aggression (read lose +-0.1 sec status)
-2.0% loss for ship destruction (read lose +-0.2 sec status)
-12.5% loss for a pod kill (read lose +-1.25 sec status)
And here comes the crunch:
CCP TomB wrote:You can only gain security status once per 10 minutes and the highest security gain is what counts, this was mostly done to ease the load on the server but should also prevents people getting more security status for killing more small NPC's per minute than could kill big NPC's.
Takes a looong time to get it back, especially if you have no access to 0.0 ratting. Missions work, but take even longer.

2, however there's rumours that with the changes in Rev 2 (reduced cap use, mostly), this may go to 3, or even 4 in "hospital boats"

Dres has returned from the land of terrible hotel internet.

PM me if you need ships/fittings in Nakah. Getting on now!

Suggest adding BC to that list Friz, as a stand in in the case of future HAC / noncloaky recon gangs

***BUMP***

Just wondering if everyone is all set for ships/fits in Nakah? All caught up on build atm, so if you need anything, give a shout. (Or if you've shouted and I've been afk and bungled somehow, shout again!)

Working on stocking Nakah w/ spider rep stuff, then I'll switch all my slots to building ammo and misc other modules for there. Once Nakah is nicely stocked, I'll try to build stuff for the markets to make our wallet all of the FAT so we can buy the ships we need to bring the pain!

Also, looking for an assistant, somebody that can move stuff around just a bit. No low sec travel required yet, just moving the buy order mins from local in Goram to the corp hangar. Maybe pick up cheap mins off the market close by as well, mostly hauler work.

As well - just picked my freighter up, so if you need me to move things give me a shout. I'll have it in Goram tomorrow (making a round trip to Elgoi and Khank first).

Thanks gents, mostly just need somebody to pick up deliveries at the other stations in Goram from time to time and move them to the corp hangar. I'm wondering, should I put up some buy orders for best name large spider rep stuff as well? Are there Lvl 4 agents in Goram?

I'm mostly going to be on for short bits after work for the near future. Moving in 15 days, but I'll be able to toss on buy orders and builds each day for 30 minutes after work, that and train stuff. After the first month we'll see if we can afford cable.

In other non-thread related news, I'm working on getting a friend of my wife to come to work here as an intern, which funny enough would end up with her helping me with a particular style of salon. Since she works with my wife, it will hopefully result in my wife getting more hours at work, helping us to afford cable! Kinda a win-win-win situation!

Oh, and we'll be able to carpool as well! Gas savings ftw!

Update on the Burn Providence thing:

1. Yes, it's still the main plan.
2. Despite this our gangs have been a little random in their targetting. Noone's fault really, just lack of overall direction.
3. Quite a few people want a tangible goal to fight for, and to measure our progress against, rather than random acts of piracy and general pvp roaming

Thusly,

Burn Providence Part 1: UCE Must Eat Itself

Bit of a trial, but we bung a small POS in the middle of UCE space and base out of it for a while. They're an easy target, and can give us some much needed practice. Idea being that since everyone is at the pos rather than hanging in Nakah, we become constant presence in the area.

Aim: close down UCE mining/ratting/movement. Harrass and annoy them. Tear them apart from the inside.

Progress: measure our success with a campaign on the kb and with the numbers in their alliance.

PsyOps: BD, Lilan & Steamy make some guff up to discredit their leadership, alienate the membership, and turn away any potential allies.

Once we're bored of them and have done what we consider to be enough damage, whichever comes first, we can move on. Key thing is to avoid getting blobbed by Sylph/CVA throughout this - can we enlist the help of some of our friends in the area to divert attention?

Waging a proper war like this should attract more numbers to our gangs as well.

RFI: we got any dreads capable of carrying bs's in cargo? It'd be good to base out of a POS completely and not have to worry about escorting heavy ships through the pipe (and for an exit strategy should it all go horribly wrong).

See Alliance mail for location of POS

Does that mean large ship assembly array so we can build BS's there? I'm guessing NOT since we'd not have a ready mineral source, but just checking if there were any way to build BS's close, vs moving them in. Might make a logistical difference is all.
