Can anyone name me a movie conversion that wasn't complete rubbish? Ocean has a lot to answer for.

Skynet (a terminator takeoff) was pretty good.

I seem to remember a universal soldier side-scroller that was good.

oh, and goldeneye.

I didn't like the controls in Skynet (it was one of the first games with mouse-look wasn't it? They didn't quite get it right), I thought Goldeneye was shit, and Stalker wasn't really a movie conversion, it just drew some inspiration from the film/book.

Apparently the Chronicles of Riddick games wasn't bad, but I've never played it.

I don't remember the controls on skynet, it was quite a while ago.

Goldeneye is/was very highly rated, reviews gave it 95%+ mostly. (but that's not gonna change your opinion ;))

Never played the riddick game. so there.

A good friend of mine recommended Spider-Man 2 on the Gamecube, said it was pretty damn good. Lots of freedom etc. Never got round to playing it though.

Aparently the Spiderman 2 game was awesome. Spiderman 3 *could* have been awesome, but was clearly rushed to hit the deadline, and as such is a bug riddled mess. Shame really.

And yes, the Riddick game was really quite good.

It is rather good, at least the swinging through the city was. Rather than your webs sticking to some invisible ceiling you had to target buildings and use your weight to swing around corners, etc. It was quite easy to pick-up and once you did it was great fun soaring through the city, like exploring the city in the GTA games. Only the combat and missions got a bit samey.

Let's not forget the Doom movie...
actually, on second thought, let's all agree to forget it. Sorry I brought it up. We shall never speak of it again.

The Blade Runner game was pretty decent, I thought. There's also Alien versus Predator - I guess that's sort of movie-based, and the game was aces (way better than the AvP movie itself).

:above: Spot on.

The scarface game was pretty cool. GTA clone obviously, but in a world of GTA clones it was definately up near the top. Even if the last few levels were insanely hard. So insanely hard that it took me ages even using the cheats! :faint:

I fucking loved that game, had a good few different endings too I believe. Was a beauty. It's been ages since I last played it.

Despite loving Blade Runner and point-n-click adventures I never got around to completing that game.

Star Wars in the arcades.

Since then, not much. The Sum of All Fears was an okay game.

How about Streetfighter? The animated one of late 80's early 90's fame?

Not the Jean Claude Van Damm / Kylie Minogue piece of rubbish.

Other way round, it was a game first. The animated feature was based off SF2, and one of the very first I bought.
