Post by Lateralus »

I thought I'd start the ball rolling on herding the cats, but by no stretch of the imagination does this mean I assume any responsibility for maintaining momentum! :)

People I believe to be interested so far:

Lat
Grimmie
Fabyak
Father Jack
Hehulk
Dog Pants
Prof Hawking
Shot2bits
Buzzmong
Berk
Deject
mrbobbins (pending ROBO destroying steam)
Stoat

Anhamgimmar
M4niachicken
One RO bitch
Tezz
Joose

Anyone else wanting in, reply to this thread and we'll get you added.

If I can get it working and if RO is up for a repeat domination then I'm in

:robo:

Edit: Actually, RO-BO should be seeded straight through to the final.

I'll have a go, assuming I can get CSS to stay open for long enough.

As Berk mentioned in the first thread, teams will be selected randomly again, so ROBO will have to mess with the laws of random number generators to be reformed. Failing that, we may see a rival to ROBO forming - like Godzilla and King Kong.

I've added our glorious leader to the list, but I reckon we need at least 16 for a proper tourney.

Oh go on then, I'll have a go but I warn you, my team mates usually end up with my nade being thrown at the back of their head

If a game is later rather than earlier, I can usually make it, as Abigail is usually in bed by then :)

Well that makes it a nice round 20, so unless anyone else pipes up soon I think that'll do! Anyone want to organise teams, or shall I do it again using the magic-random-number-ordereriser-of-doom? Also, are we keeping teams WINNAR and ROBO intact?

I've also still got the table from last time, hopefully as a PSD file at home, so I can change it slightly to work with 10 teams. That is, of course, unless anyone else wants to make a new one? :) No team will be accepted into the tourney without a new comedy spray.

Nest thing to do besides the teams is to argue out what the rules will be I guess! :)

You do it, you know what you're doing.

Certainly keep robo, maybe team looser.

OK then. So people know what I did -
  • Removed Bobbins, Roman, Tezz and Prof from list
    Alphabetised remaining 16
    Numbered in order
    Used magics to re-order numbers
Match names to numbers as before
Pair in new magic order to create teams
    And, of course......PROFIT!
Using these steps, the teams came out as:
  • 1. Joose and Grimmie

    2. Berk and Lat

    3. Dog Pants and Gunslinger

    4. Shot2bits and Stoat

    5. Hehulk and Deject

    6. WEY and Father Jack

    7. Anhamgimmar and Buzzmong

    8. Fabyak and M4niachicken

    9. Mr Bobbins and Roman

    10. Tezz and Prof Hawking
Does this look relatively fair? If anyone reckons some teams are unbalanced, I'll just do it all again.
